"APPRECIATE" NEEDS TO BE A SINGLE! IT WOULD GET

At 0:53 of 4:28 And at 2:00I figured that's what you meant. My guess is it's one of those happy accidents that sounds like something else entirely, sort of the like the tape loops in "Tomorrow Never Knows" that, sped up, sounds like seagulls but originally were something like Paul's laughter (according to one theory). parlance

Well yes...that's where I said it was. In the middle (& earlier haha) Ther is a booklet & in the back it shows instruments used on each song. There is one called a bouzouki. Think that could be it? Maybe played backwards.

I think Queenie Eye was the best choice, but Appreciate is really great. Probably top 3 for the album.
-
Queenie Eye - Early Days - New - Appreciate is an incredible run of songs. I do not know of another Paul album with such a strong run of four consecutive songs.

Easy: On Tug of War the four song run of Here Today, Ballroom Dancing, The Pound is Sinking and Wanderlust beats this by miles.

They played Appreciate on the radio here for new music thursday! oh yeah!

Snap! I agree wholeheartedly. I love that running succession from Tug of War. Got me looking back through the archives to see if I could conjure a better four-in-a-row (there is Collingwood?s 1927-30 premierships, which the Aussies will know is a reference to Aussie Rules Football, akin, I guess, to the Jets winning four Superbowls in a row) Worthy of a new thread. But of all McCartney?s post Beatle albums, the only other ones I can seriously consider are: Band on The Run-Jet-Bluebird-Mrs. Vanderbilt? the latter might be questionable, but a great (brilliant) start to an album. Uncle Albert-Smile Away-Heart of the Country, Monkberry Moon Delight is pretty A1? love the use of Monkberry Moon Delight in the movie Hall Pass. Geez, there are a lot that are close. I still consider Venus and Mars to be the prelude to Rock Show, even if it is a song on it's own, but that's a great four first up too.

WXRT fm in Chicago. 93.1. They also have a Breakfast with the Beatles hosted by Terri Hemmert (Beatlefest MC) every Sunday from 8-10am. But it wasn't Terri that played it yesterday...so that is really good news!

I'll have to check it out. But on Sunday mornings I'm listening to the LA Breakfast with the Beatles. parlance

it's like he's brainwashing us to "appreciate"--like the Fabs tried to accomplish with "All You Need Is Love" maybe, but "Appreciate" is tons more exciting, intriguing and wonderful If you feel devastated, destroyed, you still get your buns out there and your head together and look for the goodness and beauty in life. That's what I got out of the song at first, anyway. I gotta give it more listens
-
OH YEAH! It's on the radio again!!! Terri Hemmert said they get A LOT OF REQUESTS for this one!!!!!! : You drop everything Give back Reciprocate her love!

Awesome! I should request to KCSN during a non-Beatle show and see how it goes. parlance

This is the best song on the album.

I am now totally with the call of releasing Appreciate as a single. I think its amazing sounding, very current, and its not asking a lot of Paul vocally, and in that way its in his wheelhouse and he does it well. would have been a cool single. are there still 'B-sides'? should have at least been that.
