I don't skip it when listening to the "New" album, but I think "Appreciate" is the weakest track on the album by some distance. I can think of much better choices for a 3rd single. "I Can Bet" , and "Save Us" would be my choices.
Holy cow! I so disagree with you about Appreciate! It's my favorite track and is very modern and might do well if released as a single. I do love I Can Bet (a lot!) and Save Us is great too.
Don't get me wrong, Paul could pretty much release a version of Ba Ba Black Sheep, and I'd find something to like about it ! It's just that for me there are so many other better songs that are "classic" Paul on the album. "Appreciate" sounds like a so so B side to me , but my tastes are pretty retro. You could be right - this may have a structure or style that could take it further as a single. With singles, I'm kind off out of my comfort zone nowadays
You must have loved Mary Had A Little Lamb then!

Bring back the good old Double A-Sides.... APPRECIATE / ALLIGATOR D Actually while Appreciate is not my favorite track it works astonishingly well on radio. Ever since NEW was released my local radio station in Berlin ignored the official "radio songs" and played Appreciate regularly. I guess it`s the beat that makes it compatible with today`s listening habits. The groove really makes it stand out on tiny speakers.

"Appreciate" is still not a single, and it's still not in the live set, BUT at least it's been played at least once at sound check, in Chile.

Love that song!

That would have made a great Record Store Day 2014 release!

That's awesome! I wish I could afford a soundcheck ticket (though with my luck, even if he did buy one, he'd end up not playing it). parlance

Wow, finally this board has been heard. A video for Appreciate !!! Though I´m kind of wondering what happened to the video for Early Days and what Paul is really planning. Wasn`t there even a fan video for Save us in the pipes ??? Let`s hope he really gives the album a NEW Push. It`s too good to just fade away like it did since its release.

I really Appreciate that there is a video for this great song, can't wait to see it!

All good questions, but I'm excited that we know that "Appreciate" is imminent. No sign of "Save Us" getting any play on my local Triple A station, but "I can bet" that "Appreciate" will: it's right up their alley.
