SECOND SINGLE FROM "NEW" - "QUEENIE EYE"
-
It look like it starts with just Paul on the piano. Next comes Johnny Depp, who fancies himself too cool to do anything but just sit and tap his feet to the song on his ipod. Sean Penn sits there gloomy looking down at his feet. Meryl Streep spelling out the O-U-T then giving the baseball umpires "you're out" wave. More and more people pop in, "interpreting the song," some stranger than others, until the room is full.

hehe, I know this might be a stupid question, but is it Jude Law or Damon Albarn in the video?
-
looks like Jude...
-
okay, it is Jude, I Googled it..

How would Paul greet Jude?
-
Too bad it wasn't filmed and released three weeks ago

That was my thinking -- initially. I'm hoping that this week's video-release will sustain the album's sales-mileage -- and, maybe, Paul can still get that No. 1 album.

I love the song Queenie Eye. Most of the 'New" album could be a single and Queenie Eye is definitely one of them. I've seen the preview clips of the Queenie Eye video and love how people are groovin' to the song, especially Johnny Depp and Jude Law. The parts with girls dressed and dancing suggestively seem out of context with the rest of the video and put there in an attempt to draw attention and sell songs. Being female and hetero, I don't get into that. At least put some partially clad guys slinking around for us girls to watch! With the addition of the girls in this way seems like a cheap, desperate attempt to gain sales, though I may be wrong. I think Paul's position in the pop world makes stuff like this unnecessary. Still a fan, still digging the album.

The making of the Queenie Eye video
I do wish Paul (and the other people in the video) hadn't spent more than half of the video talking about the Beatles. As much as I love him, no wonder he's not really taken seriously as a contemporary artist anymore.

To me Johnny Depp doing anything is the equivalent of guys watching Kate Moss dance atop a piano. I think there are enough celebrities in here to appeal to both sexes and all ages. I would have been happy with a video with no celebrities but I see the appeal from a marketing perspective. Because a video is just a marketing tool.

thanks for posting this Bill813 Watching this makes me so excited to see the final product, I can't wait!! I loved that so many people were there to celebrate Paul's new good song, looks like everyone was having a fun time. So neat to see Stella and Mary there too! I love that all these people "get" how lucky they are to be there in that studio with Paul, it is amazing. It's sweet that story of Paul singing the Love Me Do line; he was nervous because he was young and new to making records

Katy Perry will outsell the next three albums in the chart combined. Paul will be doing well to stay in the top 10.

It sure looked like it at the end there (dancing) Now whether they got to chat with any of them, I would imagine so, since there's usually a lot of standing around between actual filming.
