Fans may know this, but I read today that the fluffed beginning of C Moon was a genuine mistake, and they just left it in. I'm glad they did though, as it sounds great.

So he was supposed to start singing right after those first few piano notes? Or did he mess up the bass?

He was meant to start singing, which is why we get "Was that the intro I shoulda been in?'

He has been part of sick things his whole career. Starting with One Two Three faw, going through the little diddy at the beginning of Fine Line, anytime something interesting happens before a song, Paul keeps it on the song.

What about the distortion in the first note of I Feel Fine? maybe was John's idea but any other band probably had removed

Actually, I never got the song at all!!! Never cared for it....and wondered why people did. But that's just me.

Well, Paul certainly loves it, doesn't he!! He's played it live enough times. I think it's pleasant, but not brilliant.

C Moon is an endearing song, and I love Paul's little vocal improvisation just after he questions "was that the intro I should've been in?" It's not one of my favourite Wings tracks, but I find myself smiling when I hear that little intro. It's a brilliant sing- along song. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And for all of us crazy soldiers, who were born under Calico Skies May we never be called to handle all the weapons of war we despise

                      Horrible little dirge.

A lovely song in my opinion. Was good enough to make it onto All the Best.

I actually prefer the lyrics over the melody - rare for a Macca song. A below-average melody by Macca's standards. The circus-like production is interesting, but not something that takes the song from good to great, imo.

The only performance of that song that I've ever liked was the soundcheck '90 version that was released as one of the Tripping B-sides. Excellent version.

Never been one of my favourites. I find the repetition grating. The A-side, Hi Hi Hi, is a hot track, and a pretty beefy recording. 😎

A good B-side, and a good song, worthy of an album entry rather than being relegated to a small single release, but sits lower than Hi Hi Hi, which I reckon is a cracker.

Actually, I can't stomach this song and never understood why he played it live when he has so many other better songs.

                                    Maybe I'm amazed !!

Apparently, a lot of people find it more "L7" (i.e. "square") than C Moon. That's probably why Paul likes it so much. He's proud of his cleverness in coming up with the "C Moon" concept as the opposite of L7.
