Paul's upcoming album review they say its HOT!

Bob Gannon:
Also, just spitballing here but since most of the words tweeted (other than potatoe) could have the word "New" placed in front of them and there were plural words..I wonder if the new single is "News" that was recently named in a Mark Ronson interview...would seem to fit
I'm thinking Ronson was misquoted and it is actually "New" he was talking about. We will know soon!

"lyweds"
-
very well could be
-
-
Assuming that's true, he'll be up against THREE artists that all had over 150k in 1st week sales on their last albums, too.
-
actually I think it's smart...I don't think any sales will count until the album is released..not officially out so I doubt the pre-sales will count until it's released..

That's correct, but as I said a bunch of pages ago, I think it would be cool to have Paul get another #1 album. He literally has ZERO chance going up against THREE artists that all outsold MAF (his highest selling new studio disc in the soundscan era). Simply releasing this album earlier this year - during a slower weak - would have virtually guaranteed him another #1. The first week in August the #1 album didn't even sell 100k. The 3rd week, the #1 was 116k. Paul could have beaten either of those numbers.

may be right Eric, but although I'd like it to reach #1. I really don't care as long as we get a great album!!

Unless Mark Ronson was wrong or misquoted, and the song "News" is actually called "New"?
This may be the case. The Spanish radio station Innercia shows on their Facebook page (and Twitter): "Mañana se estrena en radio "New" el nuevo single de @PaulMcCartney, anticipo del que será su decimosexto disco de estudio @UniversalSpain" https://www.facebook.com/innercia?fref=ts Looks like the song may hit radio tomorrow!
My translation, "Tomorrow will be the radio premiere of "New", the new single from Paul McCartney, and "taster"/"preview" of his 16th studio album" So tomorrow is the world premiere of the single and the album seems that will be published by Universal Music. When they say "anticipo", I translate it as "preview", not that they're gonna stream the whole album or so but that they mean the new song is a taster of the new album, as almost any first single... I feel we're gonna be confused sometimes with this: the "New" song, the "new" single

Via Fans on the Run on Facebook: BREAKING NEWS: via Robert Gannon: "Paul's new song "NEW" will be available on iTunes TOMORROW. Also, the presale for new album will be available too." They also add, "Heaven forgive us if this info is wrong."

Hey Sgt Pepper I posted that from an article a friend sent me. And while I know him very well and trust him...it's always the internet that I don't fully trust!! LOL!! Seems like alot of news blurbs coming out fast and furious today!

Let's just hope they're right!

I sent the link of the page to the marinucci and jorie gracen sites as well as macca-central...I mean I saw it on the page...but internet is hard to trust at times...I'm thinking it's the real deal. My friend told me a few weeks ago that the end of August would be the single so for me it fits

to say I'm confident!
-
Just as long as I get my CD
-
I'm still betting there'll be a vinyl album too. Could be one of the reasons there are only 12 songs. And I've said earlier that the trend in albums is toward short and punchy vs. long and bloated right now.

another web article says album release date October 14th!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who exactly are you talking about? I see Pearl Jam as the biggest threat, and perhaps TLC (although the original "L" is dead), A$AP Mob, The Avett Brothers, Ryan Adams, Toad the Wet Sprocket?

I think his biggest threat in the UK is Professor Green, though his last album only got to No. 3 and the one before that No. 2
