Paul's upcoming album review they say its HOT!

I wouldn't throw this away as a leftover. I'd say it's probably better than everything off of MAF...except, The End of The End...but it's apples and oranges comparing those two songs.

You can't be serious? Better than "House of Wax"? LOL

Oh gosh...I can't STAND House of Wax...it just drags on and on...what's it even about?!

Supposedly Mark Ronson. The horns! I knew Ronson would bring the live horns!
Means more ropey fake horns if he plays it live. The song is growing on me.
Oh, how I wish he would tour with a live horn section one more time!

After about a half hour of thinking, I finally remembered another song that it reminds me of, although it's another '67 pastiche that wouldn't exist without "Penny Lane": John Wesley Harding's "Congratulations (On Your Hallucinations)" from 2009.
I'm sure there are endless additional bouncy harpsichord tunes that would pop up in people's minds!Somebody on the Hoffman board described it as a redolant of The Rutles Doubleback Alley!!!
Talk about full circle - pastiche meets pastciche!!! -

Wild demented horses of course!

I wish he'd write an orignal on the uke! It would give a reason for him to play the Uke live other than in tribute form! Are there any others besides Ram On?
-
JUST HEARD THE NEW SINGLE!!!

Oh yes. Good catch.
-
However, it wouldn't be wise to follow up with the leading single from his next original album featuring another funky acoustic instrument. This is much more thought out and intricate than Dance Tonight. But Dance Tonight would lose its charm if it were anything more

Its needs some cowbell, but besides that, it's perfect.
-
Eh...that would be overkill. We've got tambourine, handclaps, and maracas. The amazing thing is, Abe will cover all of this when it hits the live scene
-
I wonder if the band is on the album at all.
-
The drum-fills sound very Abe'ish.
-
Don't know if the band is on the album, but both Abe and Rusty said they had been recording with McCartney. I hope they are included because this new song sounds to tame and safe to me. I was hoping for something more exciting and energetic. I hope this is just a preview and not the first single. Oh and this is nowhere near better then everything off of Memory Almost Full, because Only Mama Knows, Mr. Bellamy, Vintage Clothes, That Was Me, Feet In The Clouds, House Of Wax and The End Of The End blow this new song away!
