Some of the most poignant lyrics in Paul's solo history. My favorite on the album... I also like: "The road to somewhere Stretches through the night We follow blindly Heading for the light" and the "Queenie Eye" chorus!

There are lots of good lyrics on the album but the one I like (right now anyway) is also from Everybody Out There and it's my current signature.

" So many times I had to laugh after the pain or be crazed" something like that, that knocks me out--from "Early Days" Also "may your inspiration come to you again and again"--wonderful sentiment and seemed a blessing from him to us all. Especially people who like to write songs, I thought. Possibly. Many lines from "Road" a song which seems spiritual and yet frightening at the same time, in places. That song "Road"--it really gets to me.
"We're the brightest lights in the sky" that's a nice one. Can't recall which it's from right now. I've not gotten to hear the album as much as I want, yet. Always some stuff happening. And he wanted to let his love revelations escape "like birds flying from their cages" (but was too "scared.") from "Scared" More later

I have not listened to the whole album as it has been hard to do, you know so much to do: Struggle has been on my mind today, esp. these lines: If you wanna love, if you wanna fight It doesn't really matter, I want you tonight All I want is love, anything will do I'm your glass of poison and I'm acting up on you It's the same old song Being sung in the background, being sung up front But, if you wanna get it right, you gotta listen Heed my words, listen to me! Anytime you want me, I'm not hard to find I can't get your loving, I can't get you off my mind If I need you sometime, you got me here right now We can work it out together, we'll get through this somehow. *actually the whole song lyrics are my favorite. The part about heart.* here: Want to get you in my heart again Want to love you once more Want to have you in my heart again Want to get you once more.

Why only "in short intervals," Kittay? I know what you mean, Nancy R, I've wondered that before too while reading the "Struggle" lyrics.

I think "do everything until we've got it done" is clearly about sex. Damn, that other Nancy is lucky!
