Paul should try that one time, and see what happens? For just one concert?
It would be half filled with fans like myself, Audi and a few others on this board. I think it could be a great show but I don't think McCartney has it in him to try something "Out There" like a non-Beatle show.
Oh, I'd DEFINITELY be there! In the mid-'90s, Bruce Springsteen did a folk album (The Ghost Of Thom Joad?), and he did a tour, performing mainly in small venues. If The Boss isn't above playing smaller places, why not Macca?

If anybody should be feeling stupid this week, it oughta' be Miley Cyrus: Shakin' and twerkin' her ass on the VMAs and dangling her tongue like a stroke-victim, looking completely stupid; plus, she was ALL the talk for a solid week... ...and not even SHE moved 100K units. There is a little justice in this world, I guess.

stroke victim... Nailed it!

Yeah that's funny, audi Maybe a lot of people realized they didn't want to hear Miley's "singing" on an entire album. Plus her trashy behavior backfired. Turned off as many as it turned on. Possibly.

Well, to be fair to Miley, this was her second week on the chart. The first week she sold 273,000 and was #1. Not that I actually WANT to be fair to Miley, mind you!

She still needs to put that tongue away. Who is she trying to be with that tongue...that KIss guy? Gene Simmons?

So what did we have week 1, at #2 UK, #3 US?

FYI - Springsteen did a show here in Charlotte on that tour and I went and had great time. My wife and I sat in 10th row in Ovens Auditorum which seats only a couple of thousand at best. BTW - it was not sold out.

Still considering how little talent she has, that is still a lot of CD's.

Well, that moment of pleasure didn't last long.

But would they admit it on this board - lol

I find it kind of amusing how so many people are so worried about the sales figures. After all, Paul's only the most successful musician/singer/composer/entertainer in history.
I completely agree he's done far worse before when he was younger and more likely to get airplay

I think we are anything BUT shy!

Surely there's still time for it to hit number one ? I suppose we just have to wait to see if the album has legs... A lot will depend on continued promotion I suppose. Bearing in mind the video for Queenie eye isn't even out yet ! P.s. It would be criminal if Paul didn't play Beatles songs as part of his live set.Its his back catalogue - his legacy. I do think he should play more post 1980 stuff as well though. I for one would like to hear Tug Of War, No More Lonely Nights , and My Brave Face for sure. (I think No More Lonely Nights would be a MAJOR struggle for him now though...)

#3 is a respectable debut. He may have had a number 1 if he had released this CD in the May of this year when he started his tour of the US and Canada. It will interesting to see if the sales figure jump in Japan next month. This is a fantastic CD and I can't stop playing it.

We have to see that it has Standard version and Deluxe version and only one of them is in the charts. So, if he had put out only onde version the chart sales would be bigger. There is fans who buys the two versions, yes, but most of them chooses one or another.

Standard and Deluxe edition sales both count towards the chart for 'New'
