Does Nancy go on tours with him?
I think she does. I think I saw her being escorted to seat her seat in Montreal. I was up in the nose bleed section so I couldn't make a positive id.
She was at Fenway Ballpark in Boston a couple of years ago - In fact, in a funny moment, she was caught by surprise by being put on the big screen during the audience participation part of 'Give Peace A Chance'....her reaction was pretty funny PS - I have to admit that while I saw this happen (on the big screen) I didn't know it was her until another boardie mentioned it later on

If he's happy, if his children are happy, and if she's not in it for the money then I wish him the best and hope the best for him. She seems nice, if not quite. "Third time's the charm..."
-
Yay! Congratulations Paul and Nancy. You deserve all the happiness in the world.
-
congratulations to Paul and Nancy.
-
Awww, Congratulations to Paul and Nancy. She seems lovely. It was on the ITN news at 10pm. (UK) Looks like it's true!
-
Paul, May she, too, be the love of a lifetime. Any soul so committed to love and unafraid to love again deserves love's full rewards! (It would be nice to think maybe Linda sent her to you with her love for you both.) Having been hurt by your last love, and I hope you should never need it, but I hope you'll protect yourself, maybe most endearingly for your children and their futures as you strike out on your heart's bold adventure (Please pardon my presumptuousness, I'm guessing the bulk of your fans wouldn't like to see you hurt so again.) May the blessings of every fair angel find you always, besame p.s. I hope we'll soon hear some Nancy-inspired songs as lovely as "Here There and Everywhere" Although how cool is the lyrical foreshadowing in a small way already? It's as if she's been in your consciousness all along

I liked the New York Times story on the engagement. By way of background, you need to know that Nancy is a boardmember on the NYC transportation authority. And instead of focusing their story about the engagement on him, they wrote it about her. The NYT headline said: In Agency News, M.T.A. Board Member to Wed (Paul McCartney) And the first paragraph said:
In the annals of Metropolitan Transportation Authority history, it hasn?t been customary for transit officials to be caught up in a celebrity wedding. Their work has focused more on the construction of the No. 7 line extension, say, than on bridal gown designers, floral arrangement preferences or what the bridesmaids will wear. But that all changed for the agency on Friday when Sir Paul McCartney confirmed his engagement to a longtime M.T.A. board member, Nancy Shevell.

As for all that triumph of hope over experience stuff- isn`t that what is said about ALL marriages?

That is hilarious. Wishing Paul and Nancy all the best in their upcoming nuptials and may the bridesmaids have lovely dresses too!

Best wishes to the happy couple.

Yeah I know what's inside counts so much more than outer appearance, Boycie, truly. I hope she's a basically good person and has a great personality, sense of humor, fun to talk to, etc. The fact remains, for some reason I find it hard to feel tremendously jealous of this particular person. Not that I want to, or like to, feel jealous. I do have a tendency to feeling that in these sorts of situations, sometimes, if it's a man I'd fancy myself
-
Congratulations to Paul and Nancy! Nancy obviously makes Paul happy, and for that reason, I'm ecstatic for them. D
-
congrats to both of them, if this makes them happy then I wish them all the best

I second that. Paul deserves to be happy. Linda for example wasn't plain, she was both beautiful inside and out. It showed. I wish them all the best.
-
I don't think she's plain at all, she has a beautiful smile. And now so does Paul. She's a lovely looking woman.

He couldn't have picked someone less likely to make a female fan jealous if he tried-- she seems innocuous, and is rather plain. He's often seemed to have a thing for plain ones. Which is fine, a lot of people have a certain "type" they go for.
She is so far from plain it isnt' funny. She is strikingly beautiful and very sweet. I was able to witness her with friends and family while standing right next to her and she is really stunning.
