FourFiveSeconds- new collab. with Rihanna, Kanye and Paul

It seems Paul, Rihanna and Kanye West may perform together at the Grammys.
I thought I saw a glimpse of Paul in the commercial. But here's an article about it... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2929535/Rihanna-Paul-McCartney-Kanye-West-perform-new-collaboration-Four-Five-Seconds-2015-Grammy-Awards.html This song is not bad. Diane Krall's song is beautiful. Kanye's song I don't care for at all. The difference being Rihanna & Dianne can actually sing.

The Daily Mail has already closed comments on that story. So either: 1. The story is wrong and Paul isn't performing at the Grammy's. (I've seen the DM close comments on an inaccurate story rather than removing the story. ) Or: 2. The comments were so racist and nasty, they closed commenting. Sad but equally likely. This whole thing has been very revealing about Beatles fans. I've seen comments on a Rolling Stone article about Kanye and Paul's song that came right out and used the "n word" and other people supported that comment! It's both deeply dismaying and appalling.

The official Grammy site mentions many collaborations on the show, but not this. Perhaps it's supposed to be a surprise? Or perhaps it's unconfirmed, as suggested by the quotation marks in the Daily Mail headline?

Mods please delete this thread and any other references to these "collaborations". We've been humiliated and embarrassed enough! Legacy tarnished! Confirmed!
These kids today! Next thing you know, Elvis will be swiveling his hips on TV, turning our kids into savages!
yeah. it's just like Elvis. :
Actually, it is. Every generation, kids discover new music that's different from their parents' generation's tastes, and adults roll their eyes and say, " I don't believe the crap these kids listen to nowadays!" So it was with Elvis, and the Beatles, and punk, and disco, and hip hop, and on and on and on and on...
Really? Kanye asking Paul "what p***y was like in the 60s" is like Elvis? Not it isn't. You're wrong. And Elvis changed music for everyone. So did the Beatles. This is not even close to doing that.
Uh, nothing in the post I responded to referred to that specific remark of Kanye's (which, for the record, I do find stupid and annoying). I try to respond to what's actually written and not read into people's posts things that aren't there. I find that to be a really useful policy.
See? That wasn't so painful. Now Nancy can sleep tonight! Ha ha! BTW, I responded to what you actually wrote. I disagree with you. It's OK. Deal with it.
You still don't get it. Did you read Bruce's post just below the one you quoted? And, I'm not sleeping tonight not because of you, but because I'm on call for the O.R.
Ah, to be 15 years old once again!
Real intelligent comeback. I hope you're never in need of an experienced O.R. nurse. And btw, I got called in at 4:15 am for a craniotomy on a young man who had been in a car accident.

Real fans will not watch and boycott this theatre of humiliation. If true this will be the final nail in the coffin of our legacy. We are still reeling from the last grammy embarrassment with jay z wearing a Lennon tshirt to mock Paul, and his voice cracking to the horror of the audience during Yesterday. We will boycott!!
I repeat to you...when did his voice crack and the audience gasp in horror in that video that was posted? No such thing occurred.

http://www.paulmccartney.com/news-blogs/news/paul-teams-up-with-kanye-west-and-rihanna The conspiracy runs deep! Even Paul's official site thinks Paul is on acoustic guitar on the track! Sorry, couldn't resist. Not sure what that David Longstreth guy did, if he didn't play the guitar we're hearing. Was he joking? Perhaps he's singing in the background?

Are you shilling for someone, pretending to characterize these collaborations with such unrelenting hyperbole? Again: Labeling Paul McCartney's career as tarnished is both absurd and premature. So, if you're shilling for somebody, well done -- because you're motivating a lot of Macca fans to do something they thought they'd never have to do: Defend friggin' Kanye West. (reminds me of the old days with ferrante9 )

I think these songs are good. Not my cup of tea, but Paul writing for others is a good place to be at this moment. The song Diana Krall did is gorgeous. Why he didn't record it, I'll never understand. It's better than anything on NEW.
Because his judgement as opposed to his many talents is dubious. Always has been. Since thinking Hey Jude as an A side was not a good idea...

YUK.

Looks like this new single will go Top 10. A Top 40 & Top 10 for Paul in a month. This is like the early 80s all over again! Congrats to Paul.

Yeah, performing for millions of people with two of the hottest acts in contemporary music is true humiliation. Wow.

Apparently you missed the memo from certain other posters here that this is all a tragic embarrassment and humiliation that will destroy Paul's legacy forever. And also trigger the Zombie Apocalypse (okay, technically they haven't mentioned that part yet, but someone will soon enough).

I don't know who misinterpret that David Longstreth, well know from the Dirty Projectors, plays the acoustic guitar on this track, but the only thing he said in public was "super fun workin on this track":
He's one of the writers, as credited on iTunes. McCartney on acoustic guitar, according to his official website. Another thing. All this people getting their knickers in a twist about the AutoTune on 'Only One', and now not even one mention about (yet another) AutoTune-free Yeezy-vocal on this track? -

Thanks for pointing it out. I know who Longstreth is, as I mentioned in an earlier post, but I'm sure most people here have no clue about him or the Dirty Projectors, so I didn't want to talk as if they did. You're correct, if there's any Autotune on this track, it's very subtle, which is definitely refreshing. Interestingly, there was an article that mentioned Seth Rogen, who claims that Kanye "rapped" his entire new album to him in a limo. Did Rogen hear different stuff? Did he neglect to mention that there is singing on the album? Or maybe Kanye didn't tell him about these singing tracks? Kind of odd.

Seth was probably more worried about his own potential fallouts!... He's had a couple in recent times.... The Dirty Projectors?.... Nup, never heard of them. What's their deal?

They've had a few alternative/indie hits, and they've worked with David Byrne a bit. "Stillness Is The Move" is probably their best known song.

Nice to see this song doing so well on the charts. But I wish it was the Kanye-Paul song, Only One, that was doing so well. I like Rihanna's track but Only One is really gorgeous the more I hear it.
