FourFiveSeconds- new collab. with Rihanna, Kanye and Paul
-
Teddy Boy22:
This may have been answered already, but does anybody know who was responsible for the melody of this song? I heard that Kanye kinda wrote most of the lyrics, but was he also responsible for the melody? Exactly how big of role did Paul play in this collab???? Thanks!
We're not yet sure exactly what Paul contributed to the song, but to me the melody sounds like it has his fingerprints all over it.

Looks like there is a new release date for the CD single, March 16, 2015, next week.... :
Mine was sent a few days ago by Amazon Germany.
Did it ever arrive?

"FourFiveSeconds" stays at #5 for a third week now on Billboard's Hot 100, after having peaked at #4 before that. It's still at #1 on the Hip-Hop/R&B chart.

Got my copy yesterday. Track number two is the video. Think I might have gotten the dose of the song in advance for a awhile, it has been on heavy rotation online since January but I've played it a few times. I like having it in my McCartney collection.
-
Had to cancel from Amazon US directly and order through one of the Amazon sellers. About 1 more month to here in the states. Hendrix, I wonder if the video is region free and will play on my DVD player?
-
I can only play the song on my DVD player, not the music video. Not sure why, if it is a region thing, I have a cheap Matsui DVD player, more like opportunity to watch ("Rockshow"!) than anything I often use.

Paul needs another number one single. Hopefully, this song will have lasting power.
-
Still rising in the Dutch charts, now up to nr 2... only one more to go
-
Back up to number 3 in the UK

Well, now it lasts for yet another week at #5 on the Hot 100, and at #1 on Hip-Hop / R&B. Over the weekend, I was at an outdoor party with many people in their 50s-80s, and people got excited when the DJ played it and they danced.

Is this the longest amount of time for a single of Paul's to be in the US top ten?

No, but it is a good long time.

Down 1 place to Number 4 in UK this week

The list of people involved with this song grows longer. The group Wilson Phillips did background vocals on the song, as Carnie Wilson says here... http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/6517041/carnie-wilson-on-wilson-phillips-singing-backup-fourfiveseconds-rihanna
