Only One- new song by Kanye West, featuring Paul

how dare our baby boom hero working with extraordinary artists! Where's that collaboration album with Dave Grohl and Billy Joel we are waiting for and which will shock the world!?
Indeed... Kanye will hold a place in history and I for one, am interested to hear any new music and material from any musicians that Paul deems worthy of working with. That's what musicians do, they make music with other musicians!! There has been so many interesting projects that Paul has been connected to in the past couple of years, especially! New with 4 different producers, the bonus songs and crossover with the Fireman. the The Hope for the Future mixes for a video game. Just got Diana Kralls latest album and I am sooo happy that she brought to light, a (leftover?!) song from KOTB... If I Take You Home...an incredibly great song.... it really makes you wonder what other songs are just lying around, not being heard? This song is sooo great!! Paul working with Nirvana band members, The Early Days jam with Johnny Depp and some deep South musicians, Kanye, Rihanna, the 12 12 12 Sandy concert, seeing Paul jam with Taylor Swift and the other brilliant artists after the Grammy's... so many different projects. I am really looking forward to the collaboration with Lady Gaga, I think that's going to be another great big surprise! from Early Days Now everybody seems to have their own opinion Of Who did this and who did that But as for me I don't see how they can remember When they weren't where it was at [Chorus:] They can't take it from me, if they tried I lived through those early days So many times I had to change the pain to laughter Just to keep from getting crazed I lived through those early days I lived through those early days ~ I guess everyone has their own opinion here, however, Paul just keeps moving forward and I for one am always interested in hearing what's next... So happy to hear Paul's latest made it in the Top 5 all over... that just really says something to me!! He's keeping current!

Hate to keep bursting some bubbles here, but this is NOT a Paul McCartney song or hit. It is a Kanye West hit with McCartney essentially as a guest. No one here would even know McCartney was on these songs if we hadn't been told.
-
For my part, I have maybe gotten the dose of this collaboration. It's not like McCartney ever made a country music album, or a blues album or reggae, you can find songs with influences. Can't say I particularly want a McCartney hip hop album, or a Kanye West album with McCartney as a guest on all songs, there are so many genres out there. More important to me than being current or on the charts, is that it is musically interesting to listen to.

No one would know Mark Ronson's involvement in "Uptown Funk" if he wasn't credited either. Nor Carlos Santana's involvement in "Smooth." Doesn't mean they don't get credit.

Paul already having a banner 2015. 1 Top 40, 1 Top 5 hit on the Hot 100 & #1's on other charts. All Day will certainly be a #1 hit on the Hip Hop charts & remains to be seen if it will cross-over to Hot 100 charts. Plus, Kanye's new album may be HUGE, with Paul collaborating on most tracks. Paul's legacy as the all-time popular hit writer will only grow!

That reminds me of a funny thing that happened to me in 2002. A buddy of mine kept his radio on the Top 40 hit-radio station, and Michelle Branch's "Game Of Love" was getting quite a bit of play. Despite my hoity-toity attitude toward Top 40 in general, I remarked: Man, this lil' song is really growing on me. And that guitarist sure knows his stuff. Imagine my shame when I'd finally learned that it was not only Carlos Santana playing that awesome solo -- but it was his record!

"Only One" hangs on to the Billboard Hot 100 at #92. Perhaps it will last another week amid the excitement of "All Day," which will certainly have a big debut on next week's chart.
-
Well well well In this 'All Day' collaboration I liked Mr McCartney's artistic vocal expressiveness (somewhat of sharp, edgy, passionate, drive, dominant - energetically, as I feel it). And the whistling was wonderful
-
It was ok for a change, now it's time for the Paul to bring out the guitars, the Rickenbacker and make ten albums of jangly pop and rock songs.

And no, I don't mean Justin Bieber, because he is not critically acclaimed.
Thank God hes not !
-
Maybe he can be, if Paul McCartney... Well, be careful what you wish for, is not that what they say. :
-
Bieber is like the Donny Osmond of our times, musically. Paul knows that.
-
Yeah, puppy love! I have a record (LP) with Donny Osmond. Never played it much, but the girls maybe... Well, I'm not so sure about the girls in my class, we were teenagers in the early 80s, I think The Osmonds was past their prime by then, or what you may call it.

Well, and just like at Paul's 21st birthday party, the police were called to Justin's! (I'm just supposing they were at Paul's. Maybe not)

who is this kanye lad is he any good.
-
I don't know, there are those who think so, he do have a following, but so does... Satan, so I don't know if that's a quality criteria. Well, I'm trying to be kind of funny here, it's not always so easy on the Internet, I'm not Engslish speaking either. ops:

The rumoured McCartney/West-collaboration 'Piss On Your Grave' just emerged on the tracklist of Travis Scott's upcoming album:
