-
I don't like PRESS TO PLAY Nice cover though

Driving Rain really does nothing for me...few good songs and ALOT of filler..RRS and Wild Life have there charm..IMO,,AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE Memory Almost Full..which is the most Wings =like album to me..and London Town with about 4 songs gone and GIRL'S /MULL added , would have been a very cool album..IMO

Squid is the worst reviewer ever, she voted band on the run as her worst album, she also said that the song at the mercy is one of Paul's best songs, she always finds bad what the others find good and good what the others find bad,now i'm sure that she is the only person from the forum that i cant trust.
s**t. And to make matters worse, Squid is a man!!!!!!
Nobody's perfect!

HOW? that album may possibly beat out Band On The Run in my book...
Maybe the world really did end and only Matt noticed...
hey, im not crazy here! think about all of the great songs. "my love", "get on the right thing", "When the night", "big barn bed", "little lamb" and then that medley. my god...that album is just GREAT.
Agree! RRS is one of his best and my second fav after Venus and Mars.

It seems like "Memory Almost Full" is getting knocked by fans here, but I personally really like it, a solid 4 stars. Best tracks being, Only Mama Knows, You Tell Me, Mr. Bellamy, Vintage Clothes, That Was Me ( Personal Favorite), House of Wax, The End of The End. That makes a pretty good album to me. And tracks like, Dance Tonight, and Nod Your Head aren't great but are just fun tracks.

Memory Almost Full. Hands down.
Hi Shawn. Agreed. It's so bad it's offensive. Almost every song is Biker Like An Icon wrapped inside The Girl Is Mine wrapped inside Freedom.

I get the joke, Squid.
Glad someone did.

Possibly Off the Ground, though I like Winedark Open Sea very much.

I don't like Run Devil Run. It's a boring album.

The title is clear.I dont know yet cause i dont have all the albums. What's your less favorite album?
I would say "McCartney II" and "Wildlife" is a close second worst.
-
tintin:
Gotta be "Driving Rain" for me too - can't listen to more than 3 songs, just awful! And...sorry...have yet to become a convert to "Ram" but know I am in the minority...
Just awful? Driving Rain was one of his most critically praised albums. I think it's one of his best.

That one's always been hard for me to assess; tracks like "Only Mama Knows," "You Tell Me," and "Mr. Bellamy" are among the finest songs in the McCartney songbook, but much of the album's second half sounds insubstantial, comparatively. I don't dislike MEMORY ALMOST FULL, but I rarely feel compelled to listen to it all the way through.

Okay. Let's settle this once and for all. Paul's bottom five, in no particular order: Memory Almost Full Off the Ground Press to Play Flaming Pie Flowers in the Dirt

So you agree or disagree with Squid rating it in the bottom five?

3-way tie between Pipes of Peace, McCartney II and Wild Life. Each album has a couple saving graces, but 3/4 at least of each is just not any good. Following close behind (cue the howls of outrage) is Ram, 1/3 of which is pretty good (e.g. Too Many People, Heart of the Country, Eat at Home), but most of the rest of which is just cringe-inducing. Yeah, I know lots of Paul fans adore this album, but I'd rather have my fingernails ripped out with pliers than listen to "Uncle Albert" or "Long Haired Lady."
