I'm in a band now that is doing strictly 60's covers-'64 thru '69- and I can't tell you how nostalgic our repertoir is making me. I even get to wear go go boots, mini dresses and hippie garb! (*screams*) But when we do the Beatles I am transported; 10 years old again, doing line dances with my girlfriends in their parent's living room, dreaming of all the wonderful things the music bespoke! Ah, the days!
YAY white go go boots and Mini dresses... Sorry...just got a bit nostalgic... Fringe hippie jackets.... Line Dances... The Twist....The Mash Potato.... American Bandstand.... The Frug.... The Watusi.... The Shimmy and the Shake..... How much fun it was!!!

OH MY!! I do recall. But , strangly, I felt like that at Halifax. Waiting for the concert. I was transformed to a different time, The 60's I was 16 again!...So what if the young people there thought I was CRAZY. I was having the time of my life I never got to see the Beatles LIVE, but now I can say...I saw Paul"THE CUTE ONE" on stage! A memory that will be in my heart forever!!!

If anyone's keeping count, add me in. I'm 55 and a Beatles fan since 1964.

I'm normally not thrilled to be 50 but when it comes to being around when The Beatles hit North America, I am incredibly proud to be my age. I am the youngest of 8 kids and, thankfully, my older siblings had the good taste to bring some fantastic music into the house - including The Beatles, of course. I grew up listening to them from the time I was 5 years old. They're in my blood, you could say. I get such a kick from reading the accounts of fans here who actually saw the band live. What an amazing experience that must have been! - one that must be etched on your memories. So, here's to all the FIRST GENERATION fans!!! I, too, have children who are 15 and 18 and have instilled the love of The Beatles in them. That's our job! haha

My son James and my son Paul, now know where they got their names I put my beatlemania on the back burner, so to say, when I got married and started a family( was the late 60's) and now I'm just at the age, I can pick up where I left off. All those yrs. ago. When I say things like that...I feel so old!! *If you read this Paul...I'm sorry, but life does go on.

I am a proud first generation fan of the Beatles, loved them at first sight. I saw them in person in Philadelphia in September 1964, third row, thought I surely would die.

Happy to welcome you to the Paul McCartney website...not all are as Maccanutty, I went to Halifax after breaking my penny bank and borrowing the rest, took 5 planes to get there and slept two nights under the stars (commons) got sun burned and stepped on!! To tell the whole story, I'd have to write a book...many things happened to get me to Halifax, it's a miracle it happened at all. Had the time of my 58 yrs.( I'm the one behind the woman w/ the teddy bear..and no, that is not my fingers above her head, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!) Have fun "hissisterpam"

No special tickets, but we did scream our heads off during the movie. It was a double matinee, so we watched it twice.

57 and have loved Paul (and the rest of the band) since 1964. I'll never forget sitting in the living room with my parents and a couple of my friends, watching the Ed Sullivan show and screaming during their performance. Every toss of their hair got a new squeal! It was great being that age and falling madly in love with a tall, dark haired British boy named Paul! (still great after all these years to be this age and still in love with that guy)
