Paul's New Album-- "New"-- CONFIRMED

Does anyone know where I can obtain the digital booklet that came with the deluxe CD? I bought mine off itunes thinking the deluxe would come with more than just the two added songs. Digital copies from other places have the booklet included, so why not mine? Boo.

AWESOME ALBUM I'm working too much to read everything, but I can't wait to catch up here. Listening to the album and keep switching my favorite song!!! [color=deeppink]I AM SO HAPPY TO HEAR [color=deeppink]THIS ALBUM It is the BEST!!!

I like the album better today than I did yesterday. Paul has certainly been influenced by his previous music ventures, such as jazz standards and electronic music. That's cool. There is really no value to me or anyone here saying "It's his best since RAM or FLAMING PIE" since that is really in the ear of the beholder and there really is no way to prove it. It's a good CD!

I'm enjoying the album as a whole with its consistant collection of good McCartney songs. Not great songs, but not bad either. If I have one major gripe though its with the 'soft' production and that clinical almost glossy sheen that coats every track and renders even the rockier tracks almost gutless. Geoff Emerick was able to create a better sounding album in three weeks working in an African shed using cast off equipment. And that was forty years ago. So much for progress?

my Deluxe cd arrived this morning only listened to it about 3 times so far but my first impression is that its a really really great album i like it it better than i did Driving Rain Chaos or meomory Almost Full after the first few hearings favorite tracks so far are Alligator. On My Way To Work, Early Days,Hosanna, Road the hidden track Scared and the bonus track Turned Out the others sound pretty good too and i dont really think theres a duff track on there could well be his best album since Flaming Pie

I listened to it last night, all the way through for the first time, and here's my first impression: 1-it's a good album. I like how different each song is. Each song stands out, the music is so catchy and/or clever on each track, after I listened to it once I looked at each title track on the back cover and I could instantly remember something about that song. 2-Early Days made me emotional. Paul's voice sounds so vulnerable. The message about John almost got me crying. 3-Scared was an excellent addition to the album and great last hidden track. Again, Paul's vulnerability in his voice shined through the song-loved it. 4- I can't remember which songs, but some songs had that creative Beatlesque sound to it. I can't really describe it, but there was definitely experimenting with sounds, very similar to what the Beatles did on later albums like, Revolver. One song (the music), reminded me of Flying, actually. 5-If I had only one criticism it would be, Paul played with his voice on some of the tracks. It worked, but I would prefer to listen to Paul's real voice; that's just my own personal preference. Final thought, I always smile when I hear a brand new Paul album for the first time. I can't help it, when I hear clever lyrics or the music is really innovative, I can't help admiring this guy for still loving what he does and doing it so well. As fans, we are so very lucky.

I listened to Appreciate about 10 times in a row last night.

This is such a great album. I've been listening to several songs many times every day.

Just came home to find NEW in the mailbox! WOOHOO!!! Have it on the stereo right now and WOW, sooo bloomin' THRILLED - sounds GREAT! It's full of surprises at every turn and I'm luving it. So far, Early Days is the most startling track to me - very emotional and I adore the sound of it.
-
Oh and another thing, I LOVE THE ACOUSTIC GUITAR sounds on this album! I'm still hoping Paul will do another acoustic album. I adore his acoustic guitar playing!

I almost cried on parts of Early Days as well as some of the words are sort of all-inclusive of everyone's past, made me think of my own early days. I smile as well. I can only compare getting a new album of his to going off on a long-awaited trip to some distant place, all the looking forward to it is finally over and THE day is finally here!

The Sounds! I've listened to this album a few different ways now. On my computer speakers. In my car. Lastly, on an iPad WITH great headphones. Please do yourselves a HUGE favor...go get, beg, borrow or steal a set of headphones.... It's like a completely different album. The sounds and sonics really come through in a very noticeable and different way. There's a lot going on here. Easily missed without headphones.

Your message is perfectly timed. Things are settling down here for the evening and I told my wife I would be listening under the headphones, so if she yelled for me, I will be off in "Newfoundland." The sonics sounded very intriguing listening in the car today, looking forward to hearing it with headphones.

Hosanna is actually very good.

So far, other than "New," some tracks I'm loving include -Early Days -Everybody Out There -I Can Bet (this one to me is really "cheeky" and I love it

I'm a person that has a tune running through my head most of my day - can be anything my subconcious drags up. I usually go with the flow unless it's irksome. It manifests as a quiet "pom pom pomming" under my breath in public places or a whistle when alone.
Pom Pom Pomming update: I was pleasantly surprised to find Save Us bubbling to the surface last night. My workplace has very strict time windows to complete the nights work with deadlines to meet throughout, so the line that got stuck tonight - In the heat of battle, You got something that'll save us, save us now. Couldn't be more apt Martin
-
Lines stuck in my head are: ?I haven?t got it, it isn?t in my pocket?? and ?She came from Chichester, to study history?? and ?Appreciate? appreciate? appreciate?.aaaahhh-aaaaaaaaaah!? Probably others. I will get back to you.
