Oobu... you bring the wine. Or water. Something non carbonated. I don't want the sound of fizz distracting me from the songs lol
How about a cold beer...tonight!

Dragonfly808:
Well... this came out of the blue. I work in radio and am well known for my absolute love of Paul McCartney. From my son's middle name being McCartney to the tattoo of his eye on my arm... anyway... my producer friend just called me down the hall to show me what has arrived on the station's system... "New" In spite of the pride I take in the quality of my home system, and the fact that I would like to wait for the official release... I now have the opportunity to listen to the entire album through a set of $10,000 speakers... TODAY.
Why on EARTH would you wait??? I wouldn't.

I am staying away from those samples as I would rather "drink it all in" on Tuesday.

Early Days is such an amazing song, I'm in love with it!
I want to be,...but the sample I've heard doesn't sound so good...the vocal is a bit croaky. Are you basing your feelings on the words...or just what is it about the song that you love? (I'm thinking it may be too stripped down by Ethan Johns.) Thoughts???? :
Well you have to hear the whole song to appreciate it I think, the best part is the refrain! It has a really beautiful melody. It's stripped down in the beggining but towards the middle more instruments come in, I agree about Pauls voice being croaky but the great song makes up for it I think!

Take the time and drink it all in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I should get on a plane and head over to visit my good friend in Glasgow and listen on Monday at his house. Not being much of a fan, he would lock me up for insanity.

On the Standard version, "Scared" is after track 12: Road, On the Deluxe Edition, "Scared" is hidden after track 14: Get Me Out of Here

I'm hearing that when you pre-order NEW from the record store FYE, you get a glowing cube with the NEW logo on it. I can't confirm this on FYE's website. Anyone know for sure? And when does Mojo magazine hit the shelves in the US, with the McCartney cover? When I went to the bookstore, it was still the old one.
There are still record stores???? Haven't seen a FYE in ages!!!!
Bookstores, too! Who would have thought? I don't know, could have been a joke, as far as FYE having it, but the cube is definitely some kind of promotional item.
The cube does exist! Shown at this store's website. Limited supply if you pre-order. http://www.streetlightrecords.com/Promo/1986 There must be other stores doing it too.

I've allowed myself to hear all that I'm going to for now -- no more until release day. But what I have heard (including the Instagram stuff from the listening party), there is no doubt that this will be Paul's best album since Flaming Pie -- and as a big fan of that album, as well as Memory Almost Full and Electric Arguments -- that's sayin' somethin'! I'll even go as far as to speculate that this may finally be THE album to back up the oft-refuted "his best album since Band On The Run." For those who have concerns regarding Paul's "raw" vocal on "Early Days," I think when the album is finally heard in its full context, it'll make sense and will be appreciated.

And perhaps "Appreciate" will be appreciated too. (I've only heard two studio tracks and two live tracks.)

Back up to number 1 on Amazon US!

Maybe somebody can convince Clive Davis to buy up enough copies of the album to ensure that it enters the Billboard charts at No. 1... ...like he did for Whitney Houston in 2009. Ad, if I'm not mistaken, Jay-Z did the same thing recently -- for his own album. :

Just mentioning again that Paul is about to play in Times Square. He tweeted less than an hour ago.

Oooh! Didn't know that. Thanks!!!
