London - casting call - Paul's "Queenie Eye" video
-
... just watched the vid --- um.. I thought it would have been more creative visually- such a quaint song...unnecessary all the actors... thought the vid would be much more whimsical does the video convey the story to the song?... love the song---- not so much the video....

Stumbled upon a much more entertaining music-vid for "Queenie Eye": Paul McCartney - Queenie Eye (unofficial alternate music video):
How...why...
That's my reaction, too!

An orgy of poseurs.
Tom Ford is the only one who's good at posing.

Just spotted Paul's Twitter they're still teasing the release of the video for Queenie Eye. So seemingly we've stumbled upon it a tad early It's officially going to be on Vevo where it is already, seems Vevo have upped it too early then. Martin

I think it's fun, but yes, could have been more creative visually. As it began, with Paul talking to Giles, I thought, "Uh-oh, shades of 'Broad Street' here!" But it's certainly better than that! Seems like the strategy was to get as many celebrities as possible, and each one's fan base would check out the video for sure, as would people who just like celebrities in general!

I'm so dissappointed by this video, its completely meaningless to me. Queenie Eye is so much more vibrant and colorful, and youthful, kids playing, dogs barking, feeling lost, excitement.. it all could have been captured so much better, more thought out, using the video medium to illustrate things and say something. this video does none of that for me. I think it honestly will turn younger rock fans off seeing that garbage, its turned me off and I like the song! It looks old.. a bunch of actors, many of them over 50/60 years of age, grooving to a song thats less groovy than it is rocking! maybe if they were all rocking out much harder nah that video is just BAD. I'll add, I know Pearl Jam is one band that doesn't believe in music videos, and they won't do them, because they feel videos rob the listener of having their own vision and experience of the songs. so it could be that Paul sort of feels that same way and doesn't want to present any visual representation other than just him playing and people dancing. could be.. but Queenie Eye is such a visual song for me. I mean I see youthful stuff like kids playing and playgrounds, energy, colors, and stuff I mentioned before. could have been a real cool peice of art that vid, IMO.

left me a little puzzled---- Ever Present Past-- was a much better video...
what is fun about it? Paul knows alotta people? ( wonders if Paul will have an alternate> ops: ) -
Funny, did the 'Queenie Eye' video just slip out on Vevo? Paul just tweeted that it's "coming soon" and it's not on his YouTube page yet. On Vevo, it says it has zero views!

I just tweeted it's a bit disappointing.. with vid link

They could have easily included some kids playing the game. This is kinda like the DVDs his people put out. All the affidavitats by famous people about how great Paul is. We already know that. I think it's...ok.

Well, fun for celebrity spotting, at least! And I think it gains energy when that guy James Corden starts getting excited after the quiet part. (Johnny Depp does bring the energy level down, though. "Yeah, Paul and I are friends, I don't have to get excited.")

Looks like redheaded model/actress Lily Cole is in it? or Lilly Cole. The girl in black dancing kind of wild, flinging her long hair around--at first I thought maybe Helena Christiansen but then I thought no. The model who used to go with the late Aussie rock singer who went with Paula Yates later on. I've just caught glimpses of this, but is it just people grooving to the song and dancing around--Macca did say on Entertainment Tonight Abbey Road Studios had a party atmosphere while filming the video. Did the entire video depict a party?-- thought it would feature more visual interest and imagination. It still sounds like some fun.

what that would have been hilarious.. them actors actually being hit with a ball.... just seems to serious.. can you imagine Meryl Streep being hit in the head with a red ball? kinda like Dodge Ball... the face from smiling to shock?

I was up late last night and thought "oh, it's after midnight, wonder if the video is up". I searched Paul McCartney on Vevo and there it was. Looks like Vevo thought it was hidden quite well before the announcement. Not a bright move.
