Where's Paul been lately?

Maybe he was glum because it was a freezing day in NYC and he was thinking back to a short time ago when he was in sunny, warm and beautiful St. Bart -lol
Maybe it is.
It is true that it is not the same thing
But after all, he has a personal sun at home. Which is there to keep him warm even if the weather is not nice.
Nancy of courseShe is a sunshine, whose rays can melt even a heart of stone. ️️

I doubt that! I've only been to NYC 4 times and I never got lost.
Pretty hard to get lost when most streets are numbered - lol. It is only downtown NYC (by Walls St/Seaport) that it is a bit harder to find your way around if you are a tourist.
I took Little Willow saying "he looks lost" not to mean he's physically lost and doesn't know where he's going... I thought by "lost" she meant he's lost in thought, not focused on his surroundings, and doesn't seem in sync with the atmosphere around him, that he has something on his mind. Could be a multitude of things... we're all feeling the effects of things going on in the world, it's not an easy time, and his wings (no pun intended) have been clipped as far as having the freedom to do concerts or even smaller shows. He did say in an interview that making McCartney III saved him during this pandemic. He must be missing the fans and being able to perform, as much as we miss not being able to see him. Maybe he and his band can film some concerts, so he'll be able to perform somehow this year, to lift all our spirits!

Oh... Thank you.
That's what I meant to say.
It's hard for him at the moment.
Music is his life.
Finding a way for him to play in front of an audience is not a bad idea. I don't think he's a fan of live video. From what I could see. It's a shame. It could make him live.
I'm sad too. -

I'm sad too.Sorry, Yankeefan and I misunderstood since you didn't elaborate we took the more common meaning of "lost." English is a weird and complicated language!

Don't worry. It doesn't matter. You know some words in French have three meanings and sometimes you have to find the least common one.
As for English, I don't master the language at all. That's why sometimes you don't understand anything I say.
I'm sorry for that. -

I'm sorry for that.Don't be sorry! I took 4 years of Spanish, so don't understand hardly any French! My daughter took 4 years of French - she was the top French student in her senior year of high school!

Very cool. Both my daughters took French in HS and college. My youngest did a study abroad program for 8 weeks in Paris her junior year in college and said it came in handy -lol. I think the conception of many people is that if Americans know any other language than English, it will be Spanish.

In retrospect, I should have figured the way "lost" was being used because I think Paul knows his way around NYC -lol

I agree. Spanish is much easier to learn too (as opposed to French)

I hope so. He's been living here for so long. Otherwise he could have phoned his wife to come and get him.

I tried to learn a little French before our first trip to France (2012) and it was not easy. I did well enough to be able to say some basic greetings and ask general question. Like you, I took four years of Spanish in HS and even now I can have a general conversation with somebody in Spanish. In addition to English, my wife is fairly fluent in Spanish and Italian.

LOL well there is a saying about men and asking for directions... I bet Paul knows his way around quite a few cities! Nancy probably gave him a free bus pass for emergencies, if she's still connected with that. I seem to remember him riding busses at one point.

This is Paul McCartney on a train. I still haven't found a picture of him on a bus.

Nancy was in the transportation business, he was riding on busses in NYC, methinks to drum up some additional riders.

That photo oobu posted was him on a streetcar in New Orleans. I wonder if he ever gets on a bus in NYC or rides the subway there? Nancy to Paul: "Get out there and drum up some business for the MTA!"
("Boys, are you buzzing?" John: "No thanks, we've got the car.")

I definitely remember reading an interview or article about him riding a bus. He was very much in love with Nancy, and he made a remark tying his riding the bus in relation to Nancy's job at the MTA. Can't find it now but I found this article...
Paul riding the the bus (or coach)
Harking back to On My Way to Work

Funny story! I can just picture this black woman yelling "Are you Paul McCartney?"
