Where's Paul been lately?

Fan4-45years:
I saw those photos on Twitter and enjoyed seeing them together. Was Nancy there?
Is she ever very far away from Paul? (I sure wouldn't be!)

She wasn't in the photos, so I don't know. I thought she still worked at least part time in her family business. She's a VP or something along those lines.

Yes, he looks young for his age anyway, but somehow whenever he's doing what he loves best (making music!) he always looks especially happy
JoeySmith:
I hope we get to see another McCartney -Starr collaboration that is high in quality like 'Walk with You'. What a great song. It's too bad it didn't get the audience it deserved.
That would be great JoeySmith if they could do another song like "Walk with you" - it's a great song, and they performed it very well!

^ I got the asterisk treatment the other day, on some word that was totally innocent? Heard tha Paul had a surprise Valentine Day show in NYC somewhere. One ticket per person. Hope that someone videoed it! Did anyone hear of this
Yeah, because that makes sense - the "most romantic day of the year" and they would allow one ticket per person? It would have been one ticket per couple, surely! It seems there was no gig at the end of the day anyway, judging by the lack of coverage on News sites and Internet search engines.
I'm going to write the two people who knew about it. One was outside and heard him playing. Not sure about the other person, whether they were there or not.

Hi love2travel The evening after Val. Day Paul was seen in LA having dinner with Tom Hanks & Ringo & Joe Walsh, etc, but doesn't seem impossible that he could have done a small gig in NY on Valentine's Day, and hopped on a plane the next morning to LA. There was a news report of him doing a surprise Valentine's Day gig two years ago http://www.contactmusic.net/sir-paul-mccartney/news/paul-mccartney-dedicates-valentine-s-day-song-to-his-wife_4587593

Actually, I couldn't imagine there being no photos of a Paul surprise gig!! So I just heard back from the one in NYC and he confirmed it was the one from 2015. ops: Wait till I tell my friend he made a mistake I'm gonna enjoy that!!!

. I did get to one once... The Drive In event at the Beatle Volkswagon dealership in NYC. It must have been the weekend, because I was able to get a train in and be one of the first 100 to get to listen to NEW at a Drive In theater, they created on the roof of the dealership!!! It was awesome sauce Wonder what happened to the painting that was painted that night!!! Took some photos, will always think of that night, when I hear Road, especially. Called a friend to let her know and met the guy in person, who was outside the 2015 Valentine event!! They did such a good job decorating for the NEW album.

Wow, that's so great you were able to be there!! Must have been the experience of a lifetime, to be one of the first few to hear the album! You'll have to post photos of it when you get a chance

Paul was interviewed recently for a special 100th birthday tribute for British singer Vera Lynn. The program was broadcast last night by the BBC, and can be seen at
Paul's appearances on the video are at these points: 1:06, 5:26, 14:18, 20:07, 20:30, 47:53, 56:46 Paul shared memories of sitting around the radio with his family as a young boy and hearing her sing, and later how thrilled he and the other Beatles were when they were able to meet her before a television appearance. He also sends very sweet birthday greetings. It was said that her music provided just as much strength and support to the British people during World War II as Winston Churchill's stirring speeches. Her songs gave much needed hope and support to soldiers overseas as well as providing comfort to the people back home. This is one of her well-known World War II songs "I'll Be Seeing You"... just love this. -
Last night (March 18 ) Paul made an appearance (via video) at the Muhammad Ali Fight Night, in Phoenix, Arizona. The event was a fundraiser for Parkinson's Disease research. http://variety.com/2017/scene/news/muhammad-ali-celebrity-fight-night-larry-king-harrison-ford-sharon-stone-1202011692/
Stars descended upon the Arizona desert on Saturday to pay special tribute to Muhammad Ali at Celebrity Fight Night, the first time in 20 years the event was held without the late boxing champion, who died in June. The ballroom at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix was packed with glitterati from Hollywood to Nashville. Paul McCartney paid tribute via video with a little ditty he wrote in honor of Ali. ....The night's entertainment was directed by 16-time Grammy-winning producer David Foster and featured country stars like Brooks & Dunn and Reba McEntire to soul and R&B heavyweights Sam Moore and Brian McKnight. Dennis Quaid and the Sharks took the stage to play a set, while Beach Boys co-founder Mike Love closed out the night. ....Attending this year for the first time was former Dodgers star Kirk Gibson, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2015. Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps and broadcaster Larry King also brought additional star power to the night. King, who had "57 years of friendship" with Ali, said he met the boxer when he went by his birth name, Cassius Clay. "He'd just won the Olympics. I interviewed him 100 times and went to Vegas with him," King remembered. "He was the best. There was nobody in second place." Ali's Fight Night has raised more than $127 million, primarily to benefit the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix. According to the Institute, an estimated one million people in the United States are living with Parkinson's disease -- a progressive disorder of the nervous system that affects movement.

From Paul's Twitter account yesterday: https://twitter.com/PaulMcCartney
This is insane. After having just written two heartfelt pieces about Vera Lynn and Chuck Berry I realise that my driver today... (1/2) (2/2)... is named Dave. This means today was dedicated to Vera, Chuck and Dave (When I'm Sixty Four!)
Interesting

Following topic "Where has Paul been lately?" Paul was interviewed this morning, March 23, by Matt Everitt of BBC6music, London. (possibly pre-recorded earlier and edited for broadcast.) Thought this was a good photo of him, he's looking happy and healthy, and no doubt enjoys sharing memories and talking about his music https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C7ljnS6VAAASDQE.jpg photo credit: @matteveritt on twitter (you can listen to the interview at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04xqy1m thanks to alexi091 for finding link!)

I LOVE it when he smiles like that! (Makes him look almost younger than the guy who interviewed him!)

Really, that is one of the best pictures I have seen of him in a long time. Notice, he is letting some gray show on the side which looks good.

Agree with both of you! He looks great, it's a good photo of him. He's always had a wonderful smile and a sparkle that no one else has... that's part of his charm (Oh I guess I should mention that his music is pretty terrific too... shouldn't ever forget to mention that! ) (insert giggling emoticon with embarrassed hand over mouth here...)

I've seen several reports on sports sites that Paul was at the NCAA basketball game between South Carolina and Florida tonight at Madison Square Garden.
