ANOTHER BLOODY BIRD SONG!!!!! "A Sparrow's Song What next? A cover of Old Man Emu?
So Paul likes birds...He's written two whole songs about them, and had a band called Wings. SO F...ING WHAT?!
a little harsh?
-
Sounds very Ram-ish to my ears. Paul back to his wierd lo-fi records.
-
Just looking at the "lyric" from the "song" "April Fool's Day" pretty much gives the joke away. Sounds as legit as the rumor that Nancy was pregnant from early this year/late last year.
-
Hi all, The new album breakdown sounds great & hopefully it is correct. I'm sure Paul will give us another cracker. This year is really exciting with this release, Wings reissues, Paul shows ( come to Ireland please Paul!! ) & Beatles recording sessions book in Oct! Oh & a new Superman film in June! Cheers! Jim

Two? -Blackbird -Bluebird -Single Pigeon -Jenny Wren -Two Magpies Five at least I'd say. It's a formula that hasn't failed him yet. I love all those songs. I was hoping a couple of years he'd write a penguin one. So I wrote it instead, and that got me writing songs.
Let's not forget "On the Wings of A Nightingale" that he wrote and the Everly Brothers did back in the 1980s. A wonderful song that always cheers me up.

What about Great Cock & Seagull Race?
-
You are right! We left the cocks and the seagulls out. With this many birds flying around in the song menagerie, there may be a few more that have gotten away.
-
Don't forget Morse Moose and the Grey Goose!
-
: I still don't buy these titles - "Life of a Party Girl"?!!! Gimme me an F'in break. Remember people this is Paul McCartney not Katy Perry.

Yeah at least 5. That's all he ever writes about. :

Yeah! Those 7 or 8 songs out of about 700 songs certainly prove you right. Aren't we all crying out for him to write about cockroaches or earwigs or jellyfish or fungi or genital warts or athletes foot or yoghurt or dampness or haemorrhoids or itchiness or poo and farts instead...

Here is a listing of tracks from Memory Almost Full http://www.iorr.org/talk/read.php?1,690937 The more that I think about this and read the posts, the more I am convinced that is a fake (April Fools indeed).

I was laughing too.

There are two indicators that this is fake: 1)There is a track called April Fool`s day; and 2) It`s an "exclusive" on Macca Report!

I like the idea about an April fools day. Sounds like a winner.

Maybe. But, unfortunately,it doesn`t exist.

Thats a shame, sounded promising! None of it true? Does anyone know any more about the songs Paul recorded with Ringo fairly recently, and if they will be on the new album ? I certainly hope so . I'd like an entire album with just songs by Paul and Ringo , and only the two of them playing on it...maybe a wee tour too

Here's my mad take on the new album: I think it's already secretly done. And -- in kind of a David Bowie-strategy -- it will be released, seemingly out-of-nowhere, on the opening date of the tour. I'll even venture to suspect that the entire audience will receive a copy of the album, just like Prince did during his 2004 tour -- and that particular album quickly darted into the Top Ten (of course, Billboard has since changed its rules). It just doesn't make sense to embark on such a punishing tour-schedule like this in the summer -- and not promote an album ... ...that's supposedly not due for release until November. C'mon. We shall see.

I agree with you totally. Doing this type of tour and not promoting new record would be really dumb IMO. As I have stated before, I like McCartney concerts a bunch better when he has a new album out because the audience will get to hear some brand new songs. I also think most McCartney songs sound better live than on record.
