2016 rumors - new music?
-
Could be anything, I look forward to new album, I don't think his voice sounds bad on the "New" album. Plus while in the studio you can cover up a lot of sins
-
Music business has changed greatly! Even brand new artists take at least 2 years between albums or more average. I don't count releasing a live album of the tour in between

His voice on "Early Days" was not that good and I think I am being kind.

I thought that the album was delayed numerous times because he wanted to redo some of his vocals.

I heard that also but was not sure it was true or just rumor. As for "Early Day's, thought I read the producer of that song wanted that first take because he liked his voice sounding "older" for that song.

That's true, but I think oobu was just stating the fact that it was not that good. I wouldn't want him to sound like that on all the songs.

Yes Nancy, but the rest of the songs on "New" did not sound that way so I agree that it was done for effect to make it more like an older man reflecting on his past which is exactly what it was

and let's also face the fact that the man is in his 70's. People need to get over the fact that his voice is diminishing. It happens to everyone, it's amazing he's still writing and performing! You can"t reasonable expect someone to have the same voice forever. Those of us that are mid age or higher all know that with time that there are things we can no longer do as well as we used to. So is it fair to expect that Paul would not be effected by father time, news flash....he is HUMAN!

There may be no weight to this, considering the source, but it might be of interest nonetheless. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/6902061/Paul-McCartney-working-with-Adele-producer-Greg-Kurstin.html

Great find! Let's hope it's true.

I heard that Paul's going to record a song with a positive message.

I heard some will like it, some will not.
-
The big scoop is that people who buy it will like it. His fans, on the other hand, will cringe.

He wants to stay musically relevant? Alarm bells deafening me right there. I'd rather he does what he does best. Forget relevance and his recent fixation with wanting to work with every snot-nosed flavour of the month trendy producer.

*confused* That's exactly what I was saying basically. ("That's true")

When I heard Early Days the 1st time , it was hard to listen to , now it fits a very cool song, I don't notice it as much...He just sounds like "Paul" ..
-
I like Kurstin's production on Adele's 25 much better than Paul Epworth's on her last album, even though (weirdly enough) I think the actual songs were better with Epworth. I think the sound on 25 really elevates what are some weak songs.
-
And I asked Paul's reps about the Sun story... http://ow.ly/XSevd

Could be handy. Paul's writing a considerable amount of those these days: weak songs.

Weak songs??? Are you &&$$!!? kidding me?? His last three albums have been near masterpieces; New, Memory Almost Full, Chaos and Creation. And the Out There tour was one of the most successful rock tours ever. Weak songs? Please.
