I love hearing different singers' cover versions of Paul songs, and I'll bet Paul does, too!
Paul stated such when he recieved the Gershwin award at the White House last summer. He loved everyone's individual take on his classic music

Exactly! Reading those feedbacks I remembered Paul's face during the concert at the white house. He was happy, he was having fun. And if the autor himself has nothing against the cover version of his songs why should we? I've just found another cover from 1979. It is an italian progressive rock group (I admit, I didn't know them until now ops: ). Don't worry if you can't understand what he says, the drummer talks about how they decided to play a beatles cover and finally they start to play at 2:16

Me too David, something so sad and wistful about it. Love the piano too..

Lisalou7 Loose Heaven..... 'ello me deary..... Hope you are well. I am, as always, completely barking mad!....WOOF!!.... I'd love to know more about the track. Even though I had the album I've never known much about 'The Broadcast'. There are a lot of Macca-lectuals on this puss filled old boil of a site, anyone got any info on it? Pretty please with cherries on top!....
-
Hi David. You mad, who says??And if you're Stella can I be Mary? Not too bad in darkest, deepest Wiltshire. Would love to know more about The Broadcast too. Do you know it makes me all teary everytime I hear it?! ops:

Lisalou7 Loose Heaven. Bad news. There might be a possibility of me and the brood coming down your way....firstly for a wee holiday this Easter....then sometime in the next year to live....RUN FOR THE HILLS!!!! Depending on work of course. Don't get depressed pet, I come with me very own muzzle and a keeper with a cattle prod. The Broadcast is actually a forgotten classic. It is very moving. I listened to a Justin Dweeber track today....that too I found moving, but in a totally different way. (stands back and awaits the stampede of pre-pubescent girls who want to garrotte me... ). They'll have to get in queue , the toilet's engaged.... You just know he's gonna come out eventually don't you?...

Am all ready running !!

The tiny harmonica solo rules! I also liked Paul's ruffled shirt during the 'Take My Breath Away' segment. interesting about flipping the video for copywrite reasons. I wonder if that works.

I'm sure others in the forum may have seen this but it's a first for me. I was checking out YouTube last night and one of their "recommendations" on the front page was this video:
Maybe Paul should get his own cooking show? -
It was one of the first videos suggested by fellow boardees that I watch when I first came here. It's almost a classic.

I don't know how many times I've watched it - yet each time I'm fearful that he's going to lose a finger in the deal
-
11 years later and it's still one of my favorite McCartney moments - and even though it's his induction into the Rock and Roll HOF, that's not why (even though that's pretty cool too)...pay attention to when he brings Stella on stage with him...both his comment and her scription on her shirt
-
S---t...uncool I guess, but I hated SNL for the tiny harmonica segment featuring Macca, remembering how Tennessee Williams chocked to death getting a cap off a bottle of pills

You know that Paul has been known to carry that harmonica around in his pocket and pull it out at opportune moments? I think he did it at Stella's last show or something a few months back.

Just fantastic.
