I think Another Day was performed faster (and closer to the 1993 version) last night than during the Out There tour. I remember enjoying that song very much last May, but at the same time thinking it was a bit slower than I had expected.

I'm proud Paul did "Another Day" at the IHeart thingie--the song features a vague feminist slant or at the least seems sympathetic to females, to their plight if they keenly feel the lack of meaningful male companionship and haven't been successful in that part of life It illustrates Paul thought about that. That he bothered to. Everybody's writing Macca sounded fine vocally (so take that, naysayers!),he must have been taking voice lessons, sucking on horehound drops, some even thought his vocal chords may have been operated on (?), I think I read that somewhere. I hope he's cut down on smoking a lot. I hope that's the main factor. It's bad for you. And too much drinking of spirits.

The new songs sound like they might be good but the vocals were awful. Again. I'm not sure debuting the new songs with a paper thin vocal online is the best strategy but the album got a bump over on Amazon so I guess any publicity is good publicity.

I think you just have to accept that is how he sounds now. The songs are great. He sounds as good as he is going to now.. We are talking of a chap of 71, one that still knows how to pen a tune..

It wasn't a "debut." He's promoting the album by performing the songs, just like he's always done. And his vocals were fine. It boggles the mind how some still can't accept that he's not 35 anymore.

Well, respectfully, it was a debut. Debuting: To perform in public for the first time I didn't say I expected him to sing like he's 35. If a paper thin warble that is flat more often than not is acceptable then fair enough. I'll wait until I hear the studio version before I judge the songs. First impression of the songs is great though, looks like he hasn't lost that skill. His performance of Everybody Out There was alright too.

True, and the tunes do sound great! Just a shame because I thought the vocals were coming back a little earlier in the year.

'Everybody Out There' was one of the TWO new songs Paul did at the Bonnaroo Soundcheck back in June 13th.(the other was complete, but still we don't know which one it is), this was done just briefly.
-
After hearing it in Seattle, Another Day was one of the songs I was going to suggest he drop. Never one of my favorites.

Really digging the job the band do on New, super version. Better production on that than the studio version.

"Save Us" has Back To The Egg written all over it. I'm liking it!
I think it sounds like the Fireman!
I agree more Fireman than Egg for me too. God that audi is never right, ha ha.
