"Tripping The Live Fantastic" finds the radio!

Just heard "My Brave Face" on South Jersey radio
-
I heard Silly Love Songs and Hey Jude today on classic rock station.

I would love to hear "My Brave Face" come on the radio. That would make my day! As for the subway, in Chicago the musicians tend to stick to blues on sax...I can't think of any Beatles. When I was in Indianapolis for the concert last week, I walked past two different saxophonists...one was playing "Get Back", the other was playing "Come Together".
I meant music played by the audio system of the subway (or was it the train audio-system?)... When it comes to subway's musicians here they kind of stick to classics/standards, like "here someone is playing Teach Your Children... if you walk a little someone is playing Highway To Hell..." etc.

It seems like -- where I live -- you're more likely to hear solo-Macca at a grocery store's/retailer's music-service than on a radio station. The one downside to that: Do those people know they're hearing a McCartney track?

I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't know. If "My Brave Face" or "Fine Line" or something post '70s was playing on the radio and you asked someone who it was singing, probably wouldn't get Paul as an answer from too many people. On a more entertaining note, I actually heard "Your Mother Should Know" on the radio yesterday! Caught me way off guard! It was a joy!

I was very surprised the other day when I heard "Sing the Changes" in a women's clothing store. Had never heard the song out before, even on the radio.

I remember that the day I bought Chaos the whole album was playing there, in the records departament of a department store

Back in early '06, a college station where I live played "Fine Line," which brought a smile to my face.

This week so far, I've heard "Let Em In", "I Will", and "All My Loving" on the radio. I have not heard "Sing The Changes", and I wasn't a big McCartney fan yet when Chaos came out. I am hoping that when the new album comes out, someone, somewhere will talk about it/promo it on the airwaves and give it some play.

While on Vacation down in FL (Venice - but was listening to a Tampa station) I heard With A Little Luck...which isn't that rare unto itself...but much to my pleasant surprise, it was the full album version and not that edited down version

Full version. Man I probably haven't heard it on any radio station since about the mid to late 80's as a kid when we were driving from Boston to NJ. I think it may have been somewhere in CT if I can recall.............

I was out today at the pet store and heard My Very Good Friend the Milkman from KOTB on the overhead. Don't know if I was more surprised or saddened that that album has already been relegated to shopping music.

I enjoyed KOTB and the arrangements very much. It just took some getting used to for me that it was Paul. Even if they're more likely to be heard at stores and doctors offices, I'm just happy it's being played. I'm quite curious to see what will be played (and where) from Paul's next album.

Now this is strange, this week I heard English Tea in the news on TV (Spanish TV channel...). Some news about Kate Middleton and the Prince and the background was the song.

I'm sure Paul would be happy. lol. I can't think of the last time I heard anything from CACITBY played. I always think of the concert film where Paul sings that to the astronauts. As for me, I haven't heard any Paul on the radio in over a week. The last one I heard was "Let Em In" in the middle of the night driving home.

Something a little different today. I got word a couple weeks back from a friend of mine that a used record store by me had a bunch of Macca albums. I went there today and...well...this is what I saw front and center! Nothing left. Good for Paul. Bad for me.
-
Now this is strange too. I've heard today Cut Me Some Slack in a Spanish TV commercial. Maybe this have been already talked about on the board, I don't know... this is the commercial

Yeah, this was posted quite a while ago.

Heard "Silly Love Songs" and "Maybe I'm Amazed" on commercial radio tonight over the course of 3 hours. A good night for a Wings fan!

Today on our classic rock station they played FOUR Beatles songs in a row! Sgt. Pepper, With a Little Help From My Friends, While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Back In the U.S.S.R.!
