Could the new Kanye/McCartney single All Day be his best?

Ah, so there it was, finally a song with rapping and they even got the word ***** in there. Now you can relax Paul, 'been there, done that'.
Actually, he should be ashamed of himself. Constantly tells the story of the meaning of "Blackbird" being about the Civil Rights struggle and then is part of a song that uses the N word constantly, that is hypocritical IMO.
but it's a black man using the N-word. So it's okay
No it's not. Or it shouldn't be.

On a similar point: I'm noticing the trend of females casually referring to themselves and other women -- in general -- as the b-word. It's happening a lot. Who can explain this one?

Good point. Another one I think needs to stop.

Nice to hear Paul's perspective. The intention is important, I agree with that, but the problem comes when the song is just background noise, and people are only half-hearing it, not thinking deeply about it, they're just going to hear the n-word over and over. Kind of like when Bruce Springsteen criticized the U.S. in the song "Born In The U.S.A." and half the people in the country didn't realize it, thinking it was just a fist-pumping anthem. Subtle shades of meaning are lost on the masses.

It is 2015 don't we all think we should quit saying that offensive word? If Paul and Kanye were living in the real world in the South where the KKK still hand out recruitment flyers he probably wouldn't defend this "creative word use." It just makes me sick to my stomach all the progress and people in High Places choose to go backwards. The word is disgusting. Nancy is 100% right on!!! Billie Holiday "Strange Fruit" did more to help Civil Rights than Kanye or Paul ever will. So sad.

I'd stay clear of certain members for that comment - this got heated in the BROADCAST section about the Q Article..... Read On....

Oof! I just read it now. No, I'm not personally offended by it in the song, and I understand and support the intent, and I think it actually is a catchy track, but I'm just saying I can understand why a lot of people would be offended by it, and Paul shouldn't be surprised by that.

Yes. But even as background noise, people should be aware that it's not being used with any racist intect, simply because of the kind of music it is. In any case, considering we all know the intent or lack of it, you can agree or disagree but to be outraged seems pretty absurd.

With McCartney who has made so many records it is perhaps an exaggeration to call it his best. Could it rather be his best SINCE "My Bonnie"?
