Then I went to PM.com and tried there. I FINALLY got to the screen that shows the ticket selection, but every time I clicked on a section (and I tried MANY different sections) it redirected me to Ticketmaster. So I felt like I was in a vicious loop.
The page I got said two things - "find tickets" and "add to cart." The "add to cart" stayed on the website presale, while the "find tickets" went to Ticketmaster. I kept getting terrible tickets at Ticketmaster, and I thought they were all gone, but the website presale page finally loaded, and I kept trying the section I wanted, and it finally worked!

Oh, believe me, I'm sure I was hell to be around, I was freaking out so much! ops: It's hard to be patient when it's a Paul gig we're talking about! You just wait and see, now that I have tix for Pittsburgh, he will announce a gig in my hometown or closer to it. Impatience can be very costly sometimes.
-
Also, thanks for explaining the difference between "find tickets" and "add to cart." That probably screwed me up because I was assuming "add to cart" would just automatically put something in my cart and I wanted to pick the row and seat. So I'm glad to know that just for future reference. Maybe Paul will do another Pittsburgh show and we call all go through this once more!!

The Souper Bowl is a cool near by bar. I drank and ate there before I saw Bruce back in May. It's very close to the new arena, walking distance for sure. http://www.thesouperbowl.com/bars/bspro.cfm?id=1457
Yes, either there or Sammy's would be the only bars that would be fairly close. Both places are going to be crowded that night. Fortunately for me I will be on maternity leave and can get there early and hopefully get some tables!!!!!

I know I'll be really upset if I can't even get a ticket because then i'll have to wait for Paul to come here to Ohio then. I think there is a ticket master in my local grocery store by me but i don't know if they'll be selling Paul's concert ticket for Pittsburgh. I'd hate to wait till Monday to get a ticket. I'd really like to get a little closer up for this concert somewhere NOT on the upper deck like I was seven years ago.
If you have a ticketmaster close to you in your grocery store then they will definitely be selling Paul tickets. You can go to any state to get any concert. Since you live in Ohio it might be easier because you won't have to deal with any lines. Just tell them you want Paul McCartney in Pittsburgh and they can easily look it up and print you a ticket.

Thanks. I'll try to do that Friday if they have them available! Giant Eagle I know for sure has a ticketmaster. I am so desperate to see Paul this year.I had promised myself I'd go see him this time! This summer will be a memorable one for me!

So, Crowdsurge says tickets will be despatched 14 days before the event....isn't that cutting it kinda close?!

They told me they don't even get the tickets till then. I don't know why it takes them that long to get the tickets.

Wow, well I just hope they get here on time...its coming from the UK I suppose too...so it really makes things interesting.
-
Anyone know when we get to find out what row and seats we have? Crowdsurge says they are assigned in the first 24 hours after purchase, but do they then send an e-mail or something telling us what we have? Or do we have to wait for tickets to come in the mail? If so, I may go crazy by then! To be honest, I have not had the best experiences with UK and other European ticket companies.
-
You'll know by tomorrow in an e-mail.
-
I see that crowdsurge has a FAQ page regarding seat numbers and/or no exchanges plus a link in case we don't get our tickets. 14 days before the show is one long wait! I saw some pics of the CEC online - quite state-of-the art and I like the seating. I had no luck with TM and was in line on PM then redirected to TM, but I ended up with the second level price seats that I wanted in section 108. I rarely post, but I'll gladly wave a glow stick from my section! Thanks to all of you for the advice, info. etc. in order to get tickets.

I have to wait and call Ticketmaster on Monday, unfortunately. Don't have internet access at work.

Saw paul twice in cleveland in 2002. Got tickets to pittsburgh, and I'm bringing my 8 year old with me, she's really excited. Anybody else bringing their small children to pittsburgh to see Sir Paul?

Don't have any small kids of my own, since I'm only 22, but I was your daughters age when I first started dreaming about seeing Paul live one day. So awesome you are bringing the little one. She'll enjoy it definitely.

Wonderful that you're taking the youngster, and I'm sure it'll be a fantastic experience. Just one practical point. I strongly recommend you consider buying either ear plugs or ear defenders, and practice the child in wearing them ahead of the show. The intensity of volume at a concert is something a young child will not have experienced and can be startling and - without leaving the venue - something they cannot escape from. I took this precaution with my sons for U2 at Twickenham Stadium in the UK some years ago and having practiced and offered them the ear-plugs noted both boys inserted them the moment the band cranked up the volume. There are concert earplugs that are not designed to be 100% exclusive affording some sound to filter through, and most can be bought on-line. If you opt for in-ear plugs, buy carefully as they come in adult and child sizes. Martin

Although I'm 58(59 0n June 18th) I have never been to a stadium show, all my shows have been either parks(commons) or fair grounds. Is the sound that intense?
