OMG OMG I just found this! IF this is true, looks as though he IS coming back to the states later this year! and that the Wrigley Field show is a go!!! Which means that Pittsburgh can be a likely hit on the tour!!!!!! http://www.nesn.com/2010/04/wrigley-field-will-host-northwesternillinois-football-game-on-nov-20.html "Wrigley Field has become a popular venue for non-baseball events, and even hosted the 2009 NHL Winter Classic between the Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings. In addition to hosting the November matchup between the Fighting Illini and Wildcats, the Dave Matthews Band and Paul McCartney will entertain fans at Wrigley this year."

Don't think so. This article was about a Northwestern Illinois football game that's going to be at Wrigley.. and in the article they mentioned the Dave Matthews concert and the Paul McCartney concert that have been rumored for some time now. They made the McCartney concert seem like it's going to happen.. and will be "later this year".

Definitely!! I'm surprised this news hasn't popped up anywhere else.. Which makes me a bit skeptical.. but he has been rumored to play Wrigley for months now.. so I was bored and googled it, and this is what came up! Recent news too! The article is dated yesterday! We have more reason to hope

Could be! I wouldn't complain! But we gotta get him in Pittsburgh before Lady Gaga Sept 5th! LOL I really think if this is all a go, that he'll be in Pittsburgh the weekend of August 27/28. If someone beats him to be the opening show, he'll probably be in Pittsburgh around early Sept! I'm feeling good about this!

Good find, but I suspect this is a case of sloppy reporting, repeating the previous speculation. But since nothing official has been announced I am still hopeful.

I'm thinking that too. But the other part of me is thinking.. what if this guy knows something others don't or haven't picked up on yet? We're nearing the time of more announcements if there would be any!
-
JUST ANNOUNCE SOMETHING ALREADY!!!
-
-
Haha...well the good news I think the longer it takes them to announce who is the opening act...the more likely its Sir Paul...based on when he announces concerts!
