What have you learned from this website?

I have learned that people who do not see Paul as this "PERFECT" icon are called anti-Paul....told they shouldn't be posting here, etc : Paul is a genius and the greatest musician ever but does that make him a perfect person, no. I see nothing wrong with throwing in some criticism along with everything else. I remember years ago when the "Heather Bashers" were called every name in the book, shouldn't be here, hate Paul, not a fan.....we weren't so wrong now I have also learned this is way more than a talk about Paul forum.....I have made many friends here and one has become my best friend. It is a fun place, for the most part, and the best forum I have ever joined

Why on earth would he want to read some of the total crap people have posted about him here!? I've learned that people have no manners whatsoever on a public forum website, and say things here they would never say to his face! It is awful to be a member here sometimes.
I don't think anyone cares if he reads our "crap" here, Randy. I think we would just like for him to come on once or twice a year and say hi, love you guys, thanks, etc.

Probably! ops: Check out the video from 1993 tour that audi posted on the Get Back video thread--about a minute into it is a great rear view.

It was all a dream, and you were there, and you were there, and you were great! (I'm pointing to each of you, but you can't see me) What have I learned? Well, You can search all over for happiness, but there's no need to look any further than your own front door. There are plenty of things you can do, right in your own community! Visit a dairy and find out how milk is handled and prepared for delivery, or plan a series of window displays on home safety, or help start a library, discuss with your dentist what you can do to make your teeth more attractive... Podgie...IMO, some people need drama in their lives. So they pick a fight anywhere they can. And that's why I stay clear of the political thread. I don't need all that drama..keep it light in most everything and I'll be just fine.

No Drama in my life...comedy. Stick with comedy. Even my posting above about what I learned came pretty much word for word (as best I could remember) from the ending of "A Fist Full Of Yen" in "The Kentucky Fried Movie". (A comedy classic by the way) I stay away from the Political Thread. Actually, I just get annoyed and my blood pressure rises when I read posts by half the people who have no concept about the real world. I find John Lennon one of the most misunderstood and misquoted of all time. Peaceniks seem to think John is saying to drop all weapons and defenses with "Give Peace A Chance". Few have listened to John's originally talk about "Give Peace A Chance". He follows with the words "That does not mean if someone hits you, you cannot hit them back". He understood that there are just some people who the concept will not work, who should not be allowed to be violent. The main concept is that basically the majority of people want peace and to live in peace. He was hoping for a Utopia. That is all I will say to that point. Podgie (back to comedy) Monkey

I have learned that this is a business website that exists solely to generate income for Mr. McCartney......and that Mr. McCartney doesn't give a toss about what us consumers think or write so long as we keep buying his product and make him even more stinking richer than he already is. He hasn't lasted fifty years in the business for nothing?

Podgie, I saw "Kentucky Fried Movie" in '74 or '75 as I recall! Loved it! Ooops, sorry--It had to be '77 that I saw it--the year it came out!

A whole world opened up ...... people from around the world .... to someone in a nearby area ..... I thought I was in a small handful of Paul fans ..... that would go to multiple Paul concerts ..... have almost all of his albums, cd's ..... video etc .... and then I found out there were more people with similar interests ... when I came to this site .... I read many many posts ..... I did not sign up ..... and then one day I did ...... it was just to post a few things and be on my way .... so here I am still here today When I came here ..... I did not know about avatars, emoticons, (even those don't always help with communication etc) .... or how to do signatures or pictures or ..... all of that ..... there will be more .... if you would like to add to it .... or it does not sink I was just going to write one thing at a time ... but it turned out different .... thatsitfornow

Since we are reminiscing here... I visited this site after I had this strange dream in the Spring of 2006. I only lurked around for a couple of months or so before I signed up under a different screen name than I have now...as my screeen name no longer fit my personality... I finally signed up because I had seen the movie The Lake House, (stop laughing everyone...) and I forgot the name of the book that Kate left on the train, that Alex later found and returned to her in future in the movie. So my first post was something like, "has anyone seen the book in the Lake House?" As I recall Martin, always the helpful kind soul he is, knew the answer, and it went from there... That was in 2006 and alot has happened since then, good and bad. But I will always be glad I stopped by here and said hello! BTW> the name of the book was Persuasion by Jane Austin.

I signed up to ask some questions about Cleveland... I was driving down for the 2002 concert. Never expected to befriend anyone. I'll say it again... I've been lucky enough to have beers with members in a bar in Cleveland, the arena in Detroit, and a small but kickass bar in Los Angeles. (members were from all over the place) And they were some of the best times I've ever had!

I've learned to watch my back and who my friends really are.
-
I have learned that Beatles fans will argue about absolutely anything. And it is The Beatles.

It may be nine days into the new year..and I had one new years resolution I wanted to keep,(Keep my mouth shut!) BUT, I must say.. I thought here on this fan site..we could all be equal. It's not that way in real life so why should I except it to be different here. Lesson learned!
