no,.. this board hasn't been fine lately ..hopefully,.. it will get back to it's normal place soon.. if someone wants to instigate or intentially try to cause problems on the boards, hopefully, the mods will deal with it..in a quick matter .. it's been very embarrassing, all the Paul McCartney bashing on his own webby.. for starters ..The man deserves respect .. if people cannot at least respect Paul .. why even post here?.. opinions differ yes..but some are down right spiteful.. it's like a ****ing domonio effect .. everyone gets pissed off.. which I don't get? ~ personally, there is only one God,.. that's the man above ... Paul comes to a close second .. He's not perfect .. has flaws and one of his worst songs ever!!! Is Waterfalls so there!~
Why are you doing exactly what your post is telling others not to do.

I hope you're not implying Press To Play ain't much kop !??! If thats the case I will blow my top & inform the Mods !!!!!!!
Haha, I wasn't actually talking about Press To Play but I'll not imply it, I'll say it! Press To Play ain't much kop!!! Macca II REALLY ain't any cop...tis' rubbish! (Except a couple of good songs!)
I didn't think you were With PTP we can agree to disagree, but we seem to agree on Mac II, there's a good EP hiding in that album somewhere.

This isn't the place for religious references...unfortunately, that's probably the only thing that hasn't been argued over in this thread yet! : Harley, this thread is for the discussion of Paul's demise. It was created by someone that thinks it is soon and, that is their opinion. Naturally, coming into the thread they created, you can't expect everything to be rainbows and butterflies, right? I try to stay as neutral as possible on near personal affairs, but I think this might not be the best thread for you to participate in... Peace & Love
wash,.. rise.. I repeat,.. what I said.. I have no problem with the thread starters post .. right back at you : : I'll post about God or Budda whereever or anywhere I please.. it was in relation to Paul.. Oh hell no!!~ now you're telling me where to post ? right!!! I think not

why are you so mad at everyone?

I think it would definitely help if he cut his show down to 2 or 2 1/2 hours. Change the setlist to reflect songs he sings better, eg bring back Letting Go and he will be fine. The rockers and his acoustic set can be really good.
Agreed. I don't want him to quit touring until he feels he's ready to, but I also don't want him straining to hit notes he might not be able to anymore, either.

Yeah, I don't want him to stop doing something he loves but atleast make the setlist reflect what he can do best these days. His piano ballads are the ones he struggles most with eg TLAWR, Let it Be, Maybe I'm Amazed.

ok...who likes waterfalls? i never really did.
I love it, although I prefer One of These Days! One of his finest songs IMO.
Sorry, Dr. Love Songs, but I have never liked "Waterfalls" either. I love some others that I think others will look at me funny for liking, but not this one...

Oh no! And here I LOVE Calico Skies! Oh well, that's why we're on a discussion board. It's a song that I adore, but I can respect your right to not like it, and still like you as a person. Cheers!
I'm not the only one that's split down the middle!

LOVE IT. A corker on a corking album IMO. Massive Macca II fan!
Me too. Love the whole album and the bonus tracks, especially Check My Machine and Secret Friend. I think we're in the minority here, though. Funny how little respect this album gets on this board and yet I've noticed that in young circles in the UK, McCartney II is one of the few albums that Paul gets a lot of respect for. I guess folks here just don't like electronic music much. I'm glad that Paul stuck his toe in the genre and I really wish he'd done more of this. I wish he'd made a McCartney III and IV in the 80s and 90s. Not just the Fireman ambiant, instrumental stuff. As for Waterfalls, I love the melody and it had the potential to be a classic. But it doesn't fit that well on McCartney II. It's a traditional song that would have been better had he spent more time on the lyrics. I like it but I sort of view it as a missed opportunity. I think he should have worked on it more and put it on Tug of War. And instead of Waterfalls, Check My Machine or Secret Friend should have been on McCartney II. They fit better with the album.

I seriously don't know how I could agree more with this post. TLAWR is one that has been pretty painful to sit through during concerts, at least for me. I've seem Paul 18 times in 11 years, and some night Maybe I'm Amazed has sounded good, other nights I've winced. I think it's time that this one goes the way of the dinosaur, at least in relation to Paul's setlist. He would benefit from doing a realistic re-evaluation of the setlist for any upcoming concerts he's planning. I'm looking forward to seeing him live again, and soon, but I would also love for him to sing songs to their fullest.
