When to be taken the penultimate photo? Are you asking when the Cliveden house photo was taken? If so, he posted it on Nov. 24th, so maybe that day or the day before.
@njr I was talking about the picture where Paul is wearing sunglasses where you can't see his face. Just before Clivenden.
The brown sunglasses? I have no idea, but he looks horrible from that angle!
P.S. It’s Cliveden.

@njr The photo Paul posted for Thanksgiving could have been taken two to three weeks ago, if not earlier. He and Nancy were photographed in Los Angeles just before Thanksgiving. But who knows, he has been known to travel at the speed of light!
You’re probably right - taken sometime before he left Heathrow when he ran into Julian.

And the picture I was talking about is this one.

@littlewillow No idea when that pic was taken but it is recent. So Nov 2022.

@njr Thanks for posting the pic here. Do you know where they are?
A few articles over here say it was Cliveden house, which is of course where they filmed the exterior Buckingham Palace scenes in Help!
I wonder if he remembered the famously told relay race The Beatles and the crew did along that giant garden behind him in between takes? Can't remember where, maybe the anthology, but they were all high and said it was the best fun of the filming!
Paul looks lovely! Without sounding mean i wonder if he touched the picture up a little before posting, as on Julian's picture you can really see his age spots - and nowt wrong with those it was just the first time i've really noticed the little blemishes on his skin that my 79 year old mum also has!
The spots he has are around his eyes and since he has sunglasses on they are hidden. They can be clearly seen in other pics. See here:
I do see a few on his right cheek in the b&w photo, so maybe the color one was airbrushed!
His forehead and his hand have more than I've usually noticed too though. But if Julian whacks the contrast up on his black and white pics that may have made them look more noticeable.
Doesn't matter, still love him! Nothing wrong with getting old - it's far better than the alternative of never getting old!
Having a gloomy time at home dealing with my mum's health and her confusion.. Plus me, my partner, and our son all have bad flu so I can't get round there to help her... But she snaps at me anyway.. I love my mum, she put the phone down on me at 1am when I rang to check on her and found that not only does she believe it's only early evening but she's in the garden seeing to the bins - in the middle of the night, alone. She cut me off as interfering and that she can do what she likes... I'm thoroughly depressed about it all. She's my best friend. she can barely walk, hiusebound, and this time mix up she's done for months in bits but constantly for 2 weeks now really hurts.... The worry... But she snaps and treats me So badly for carinf, I know it's her mind and she can't help it, I saw it with my gran when I was little, but I'm struggling to cope with the upset it leaves me wuth, while having my own illnesses still with hospitals and trying to give my son a happy childhood.... So I've been hiding from my feelings by posting on here a bit more. Maybe I'll post some of my son sometime again. But not in thread!
This is totally the wrong post for this thread! I'll go now! Yes up But my love for Paul has been for 38 years now and I couldn't have got here without it.Edit to add this as I'm that fed up here's a triple pic of my son from this year being a Beatle ;)I
I'm normally very private, but want to show him just this once in here.
A bit blurred as it's all I have in this tablet as it's a screenshot of a calendar page - I made my mum a 2023 calendar full of pics of her only grandchild...
He was at Beatles story in Feb this year on the drums, in what he calls his Beatles suit being Paul with his yellow sub uke at home in the summer, and in the Beatles story cafe piano in august.Wrong thread, I know, pls don't tell me off, I won't do it again....

@eeee-cor-blimey Oh my gosh! He sure has grown up from last time I saw pics of him. Very cute! Especially with all the instruments.

Aww thank you! He's a proper little rocker! I hope he will actually be willing to learn/play for real at some point, but he's only just turned 6 so there's time yet! He loves to strum, plink, and bang along though! I'm just so proud of him, how he's grown and what he's overcome, and that he loves Paul.
I did embarrass him at the school gates last week though, he wore the suit on the "wear your own clothes day", loads went as Spider-Man but he wanted to be Paul. But, he looked very embarrassed when I told the teacher he'd met him! I can't help it though - I'll tell anyone!! -
And on that positive note I should try and get to sleep, it's 3am!

@littlewillow I don’t know why you can’t see the photo. it’s there - oobu24 posted it a day ago.
You misunderstood my post. I saw the pic you were referring to (the one taken from below him and he’s wearing brown sunglasses and I said he looked horrible)
THEN, I just was telling you that the house in the other photo is spelled Cliveden, and I posted a link to its Wikipedia page. -
@eeee-cor-blimey I’m going to send you a PM. I’m going through some similar stuff with my mom.
Also, there is a thread under Talk More Talk called Kids and Grandkids where we post pics. Thanks for posting yours here - I certainly don’t mind! He’s so cute and has grown so much since the Grandude book signing! -
@ladyleslie Don't you mean at the speed of sound? But if you don't that's OK, San Ferryann.
-
@eeee-cor-blimey Oh my goodness, look at how big your son is now! I'm sorry to hear about your mother's health. I've been there with my mother and I'm sorry you are going through now.

Thanks for the link. -
@njr I'm going through that with my older sister. She's only 77 & has given up on just about everything. A time spent in a nursing home after a fall seems to have spoiled her. She didn't have to do anything there. It was all done for her. Now she wants to go & live there.

Could be either. Just was making a point that he surprises us sometimes by being in two distant places very quickly.
I remember one Christmas season he was in England then LA then New York then back to England again and finally traveled to St. Barts all within a week! Because he's a vegetarian, he must eat a lot of spinach and veggies, which no doubt give him some kind of Mighty Mouse strength to endure all the traveling!

@ladyleslie lol I was just making a "funny". You said, "at the speed of light". I said, "at the Speed of Sound". A Wings album. Then I added, "San Ferryann". A song from the album
-
@wandy * thumping forehead * Of course!
-
@eeee-cor-blimey So nice to see photos of your son! Have been remembering him and your family. He looks so happy when he can have some Beatle / Paul play time!
Sorry to hear that your Mum is going through so much. Will be thinking of her and remembering you at this time, as you take care of her.

If it’s spinach, he’d be Popeye the sailor man!

How could she afford it? Medicare only pays for a certain number of days in a true nursing home and after that you have to pay a ridiculous amount per day! They didn’t give me enough notice to get my dad into the assisted living (which was next door) and I had to pay for 3 days.
My cousin who is 79 has been living in some kind of nursing home for several years now. Her husband (who is an idiot!) still lives in their apartment (where they’ve lived at least 35 years!) which is on 2nd floor. He should find them a nice assisted living place for the two of them! Her sister has tried to talk to him, to no avail!
