And if anyone has any questions about the Amway or Orlando itself, please PM me or feel free to ask here. I have lived here for going on two years and I know the area very well, working in tourism for Disney. I am very familiar not only with the Amway but also the surrounding area and of course if anyone plans to pop over to Disney... come to Magic Kingdom and say hello!!

Ticketmaster lists the tickets as "limited" as of 6pm today when I was checking for my mom so fingers crossed! Even a nosebleed seat in the Amway isn't bad. It is a small venue. Good views all around.

Good to hear! Now that there are two shows, I'm sure there will be more scalpers who bought excess tickets looking to get rid of a few.

Wow! I think I might just be the luckiest person on the planet . I am on holiday in Orlando in May and had the day off work yesterday. At about 2:45 GMT I randomly decided to check the Amway site to see if there were any gigs coming up and only found tickets for the great man going on sale 15 minutes later . Managed to grab two tickets for the 19th right at the back for me and my little brother to see Sir Paul for the first time. Unbelievably excited for the holiday now. See you all there!

Thank you. I can't wait. Just over three weeks until I fly out and i'm counting down the days. I down suppose you know how far in advance tickets can be collected from the box office at the Amway do you? The only option for buying them from here was to collect them before the gig.

Typically 5pm the day of the event itself is the absolute latest, though the box office is closed on weekends. Are you arriving prior to Saturday night? If so, you have from 9am-6pm to pick up tickets and a valid photo ID is of course a must. However I will gladly call the box office for you since I am in the States and confirm what they do for Saturday shows. I think they are open till 5pm but I want to be certain.

Hi, My wife and I are to be in Orlando next month and were delighted to see two dates set. It would mean amending our return flights as we are supposed to leave on 18 May but maybe we could manage that....at a cost of course I'm sure knowing airlines. However, when we tried to get tickets - no chance. I Googled this subject and I've pasted below what the Orlando Sentinel reported. This is obviously bad news for us but for Paul it is also bad in that it is obviously people ripping both him and the fans off. How many more chances will we get to see someone who has been the soundtrack to our lives? Perhaps not many as it is amazing that he still wants to get out there and put on a show. Best wishes for a great show for any real fans who do manage to get tickets. Regards Jim Orlando keeps secrets about McCartney show Paul McCartney has set an Orlando tour date. Are you a big Paul McCartney fan? Are you hoping to buy tickets to his upcoming Orlando show when they go on sale today? Good luck. Because many, if not most, of the seats have already been sold to VIPs, insiders and scalpers who have special access to "pre-sale" offers.

I read that quickly but only found two things that are blatantly wrong with it. 1. Anyone who goes on paulmccartney.com instantly becomes "in" on the presales. They are not the best keep secret, or any secret for that matter. No one is screwing anyone in that sense, except the scalpers. 2. $1500 gets you into soundcheck as well, virtually- a mini concert on top of your concert with seast between rows 2-5. Yeah, it's still overpriced. But it doesn't sound as bad as the article makes it out to be.

I've never read how many tickets are allotted to each presale, PM.COM and AMEX. If it leaves as little as 20% to people who don't buy through the presale, that doesn't seem to be enough. They do limit the number sold per credit card to 4 in an effort to limit scalpers access. And the annoying distorted letters you have to type are an effort to block people from writing scripts that would buy hundreds of tickets before anyone else had a chance. Anyone else know how many tickets are usually left for the general public after the presales? I have a friend who needed a wheelchair accessible seat and was able to buy one at the BOK Center in Tulsa with no problem.
-
I call bullsh*t completely. It's amazing how the Sentinal magically knows these figures... : Sounds more like a bunch of butthurt people who can't afford to get front row who decide to moan and groan and get the media to fuel them. I had zero problems buying two tickets, one to each show here in Orlando. And what Wix said... I agree.
-
I do not know how many tickets are allotted to pm.com. My opinion is that most of the tickets at every price level should go to us. Then seats for Amex, since they have deals with many venues and with TM. Venue VIPs pay a lot of money to get access. I do not know the percentage of tickets left for the public sale, but I don't think it's very many and it will sell out quickly.

Can I also just point out that the original poster decided to Google WHY concert tickets are sold out already for this event and pulled up drivel from a two-bit newspaper as proof that concertgoers are supposedly screwed over? Maybe this person should think, like most actual Macca fans, "Oh, first PM concert in Orlando in exactly 20 years! Those will go quickly!" I smell a troll. :

Eh, who cares. They let their steam off, and we were uh...."here for them"? Sorta... ops: I think we'll just let this thread fizzle away...

No, not a troll. A long term and very unhappy fan.... I Googled 'McCartney Orlando tix' looking for other sources and came across the OS article. We have this problem in the UK too and it hacks me off. I remember engaging in correspondence with a venue and they blamed the promoter and/or artiste who they claimed did side deals to maximise their profit by selling to scalpers. How can it be that these people have hundreds if not thousands of tix to sell often in advance of the official dates? If it was a 10% maximum mark-up for expenses I could live with that. This is not. This is profiteering and if you accept that then you deserve the situation. However it's about time something was done about this. If someone of the stature of Paul McCartney can't or won't do anything then we really are in a dire position. / Jim
