In general, the Orlando media is not known for the accuracy of their reporting.... I was just watching a YouTube clip, from a local report announcing the 1st show...
"This will be Paul's first show in Orlando as a solo performer. The last time he was here, was in 1993 with his band Wings...." (Facepalm!) -

Sorry you didn't manage to get tickets Lessthanhappy I'd be shocked if there were only 20% of tickets left for general sale. Actually I would be surprised if there is ever any less than 60% that go to the public. Were you on the website the minute the seconds went on sale? I am only asking as I don't remember ever not getting tickets for something when I have tried as soon as the sale starts and that includes the Olympics in London last year and Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and festival concerts. The closest was for a very intimate gig Mumford and Sons were playing in my hometown in front of 1,500 people and I got the last two tickets for sale. Maybe I have just been very lucky in my experiences.

Keep your eyes open for screenings of Rockshow next month.... My local movie theater in Boca Raton, FL is showing Rockshow on 5/16.... Just reserved my tickets. Perfect warm-up, before i head up to Orlando on 5/17..... Hope it comes to Orlando too....

This is a ticket industry issue not a Paul Mccartney issue. The Atlanta paper had 2 big articles on this last month. Most tickets these days are gone long before the public sale - that is why shows sell out in 5 minutes. One example they used was a Taylor Swift concert in Nashville last year. Out of 14,000 seats, 1,102 were available for public general sale. The 2nd article was on things you could do to give your self a better chance of getting tickets. It included - signing up for fan clubs, signing up for individual arena's, signing up for Ticketmaster/live nation etc, getting certain credit cards. All of them get tickets for pre-sales and VIP's/season ticket holders. I was one that was on trying to get tickets right at 10 last Friday and guess what - there was nothing to buy because it was basically sold out already - there is a reason a 2nd show was added immediately (got tickets there). It's not a big deal to me, I don't like it but it is the way the industry is now. Before the public sale happens tickets are held back for fan clubs, venue, ticketing agency, promoter, credit card issuers, radio stations. All of them are given blocks of tickets. RamblinRed

1,00o tickets remaining for general sale is absolutely ridiculous. I don't know if things are totally different in the US but i'm pretty certain in the UK that never happens. Maybe I just always get very very lucky

MaccaGirl, Was thinking of taking the 50 and walking to the concert from Lynx on Sunday night. (would still have a ride home afterwards since the last bus goes out before the concert ends). Is it ok to walk from Lynx to Amway? RamblinRed

I would recommend you instead go to Lynx's site and review the schedules. They do stop off at the Amway itself. I don't recommend wandering about downtown at that hour,

Bumpin up the Orlando thread.....WOOHOO....We got tickets in a decent location at Amway Center. Last time I saw Paulie was in 2005 in Miami....the tour where ,in Tampa, he fell through a hole by his piano!!!!

Finally able to print my tickets today. Feel much better when I can hold them in my hands. Looking forward to 3 weeks. I've already decided I am going to take a break from the board starting next week so I don't know any new songs that are added. Since this is the first weekend of the US Tour I figured I would go in with a little suspense for a change. RamblinRed

Ordered my tickets via the PM.com Crowdsurge presale.... sure hope they ship them soon. The 1st show is 3 weeks from tomorrow... I believe they are supposed to ship 2 weeks before the show, or earlier. As for not spoiling the setlist, it's a great idea if you're able to resist. I was at opening night Miami in 2005, and it was just one total surprise after the next. To date, my all time favorite show...

Probably going to do Disney... just not sure which parks I feel like doing this time around.... My favorite is Epcot, but I'd like to check out the new Fantasyland at the Magic Kingdom... haven't seen it since they updated it.

10 days until I fly out to Orlando, starting to get very excited now
-
Just wanted to say that a very kind forum member offered me two tix at face value for the first show as they can't make it. Unfortunately - really unfortunately! - we can't now change our flights and so are unable to take advantage of this very kind offer. Just need to hope we get on the guest list for the secret warm up gig the night before! Regards Jim

Three maximum is what I can get. So if you guys are serious about Disney we will need to organise something. And both sets of tickets arrived on Saturday!
