THE NEXT DELUXE/REMASTERED ALBUM FROM PAUL
-
-
Had a dream last night - the Box set included a last minute change with a cd slip case of the B-sides/remixes. I think it could still happen.

After getting Venus and Mars with Speed of Sound, and Tug of War with Pipes of Peace, I was hoping Flowers would come with Off the Ground. I am looking forward to this set, but I'll be getting the basic CD version. So far, I've only gone for deluxe for the Wings material and will continue to do so. There's still so much left to do...Wild Life, Red Rose Speedway, London Town, Back to the Egg, Give My Regards to Broad Street, Press to Play, Off the Ground, Flaming Pie. My hope, however unlikely, is that we eventually get that Broad Street deluxe with a Blu-Ray remaster! My guess is that Flaming Pie or Off the Ground would be next. Can't wait for March!

Agreed. They had me until the last paragraph. It was sort of a jab at MPL at the very end. It's all about the delivery; regardless of how fired up one may be. I think it would have been fine without the last bit.

There is a petition to sign if you are disappointed with the contents. Go to the announcement page & go to the comment section. https://www.paulmccartney.com/news-blogs/news/paul-announces-reissue-of-flowers-in-the-dirt
The last bit was uncalled for but I signed anyway. It's extremely idiotic to charge what they do for these sets and not include the B sides on a physical CD.

I agree. I hope Paul actually reads it and takes it to heart!

Paul promised us all the McCartney/Costello collaborations. This set is very disappointing. Their 'Veronica' demo is not even here.
There was no demo for "Veronica" with just Elvis and Paul. Elvis had it complete except for the middle 8 that Paul added. His demo of it was released on the reissue of Spike. There's also no demo of "Back On My Feet" with the two of them. We are getting all the demos that Paul and Elvis recorded back in late 1987.

I wonder if Tripping live Fantastic or Paul is Live are getting deluen editions? They are released so close together...

Why would he release deluxe editions of live albums? Doesn't make sense to me.

Well, he released "Wings Over America" as a deluxe edition in 2013.

I believe it'll make a great deluxe set. There's enough material for a 3rd cd but they better put the live performance in full & not in the form of the Get Back dvd or release it own its own like they did with WOA

On one hand I am happy I didn't part with my late 80s Cd singles but I am still upset about the download-only tracks on the set. I am pretty sure that disc 2 & 3 of the deluxe set would fit on a single CD and they could put the download tracks on the 3rd cd. That way they would not spend the extra 15 cents on another pressed disc!

'Flying to my Home' is one of the best songs of Paul''s career and should have been on the Flowers album. The fact that once again it's being treated as a second class citizen is just absurd and further indication that Paul''s marketing team has no idea what they'really doing.

I totally forgot about WOA! I still don't see him releasing the other two live albums, though. He has others that should be released.
