David Bowie, 1977 http://postimg.org/image/yhedoxpxd/e229eeb7/
OMG, Bowie looks like a flatchested woman there! Yuck!
Bowie was the best at the androgynous look which was so popular at the time. I did a halloween costume with colored zig zags across my face, like Bowie back then...I won first place! He was so great in The Man Who Fell to Earth... A sad movie, about an alien on Earth... He owned that part! If you ever get a chance to watch it, do!
I've probably seen all of Bowie's movies--The Hunger, Labyrinth, The Last Temptation of Christ, The Prestige, etc. (I actually like him a lot) I love his song, Golden Years--they made a TV show (by Stephen King) and the song was its theme song. Do you remember that? .
If you're interested, I highly recommend reading the novel The Man Who Fell To Earth that the movie is based on. There are a few notable changes. For one, in the movie the alien was a bit of a pervert but in the book he was asexual and the book explained the ending which I didn't really get in the film. FYI: It's supposed to be the same ending as George Orwell's 1984 which is eerie

MAYBE she did. I guess we don't know which ones she actually took. Which is why I thought this thread was more about her photography... if you really want to be technical. And that is a pic of Paul deciding which pics of hers to include in an exhibit. So I thought it was appropriate. And the Bowie pic was backstage at Live Aid 1985 so maybe she did take it. I bet she was there.
Okay, I see. The thread is of her photography, there was no question there. I guess some we are sure of, and some not.

I wasn't thinking we had to be technical on this thread on the subject of only photos that Linda took herself. More like photos that might be related or have some relation to Linda, or photos of Linda. Something related to Linda or a couple of degrees of separation from Linda. What do you think? There are so many great photos of Linda and Linda and the family that show who she is, or that give you the feeling of Linda. Of course she couldn't take her own photo and there are so many great photos of her! Would hate to miss out on those photos!! Of course this one is appropriate! It is such a strong statement to me, of the connection between Paul and LInda. I've seen Paul sing songs and on the jumbo screen, you can just "see" that he is thinking of Linda while singing the song. Wish I had a photo of that memory. It was just amazing!

^ What pic are you talking about? I wasn't saying we should be technical. I said that in reference to Nancy's comment about the pics of Bowie. :

Sorry I had wanted to actually change the title of this thread to be more open so it didn't look like it was only about photos that Linda took. Also to include photos of Linda, photos that made you think of Linda, videos that you liked of Linda or were about Linda etc. etc I don't know how to change the title ops: As soon as someone mentioned whether something was a Linda photo or not, I guess I just was thinking about that... no worries really. It wasn't directed at you in particular Just remember, [i]I'm the technically challenged one here ops: Take pity...

love2travel, what pic were you talking about in the post above? (at 6:52 am) Something Paul puts on the screen at his concerts? What? The family http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/njr/Paul%20McCartney%20and%20The%20Beatles/Paul_family_circa1978_zps26c43497.jpg

This is a photo that I first saw at the James Hyman Gallery show several years ago in London. I really liked how Linda tilted the camera, both to get everything into the frame, but also it gives you a different perspective.

Nice one of the family... I was at a show in Detroit and at the end right under a Jumbotron 11th row. Paul was singing a couple of songs about Linda and in one of them in particular, you could tell he was singing about Linda and he had this look... and the way he sung it... it seemed so clear that no one in the world really, understood him like Linda. He might have added a few words or just his facial expression... I wish I had taken a video of that!! It really sticks in my mind... WOW that screen is soooo large! Actually I might have a video of it, not sure.... If I find it I'll post it!

Paul has some really nice displays on his jumbotron! I really liked in Verona when he did paintings over the photos. That was the best ever! How this ties in to Linda is that there are many of her photos which Paul incorporated into the pre show jumbotron display. So many people miss the pre show and I always think that it's one of the most interesting parts. During this show, Paul played songs from Rushes, which I'm not sure how many people realized it was Paul and Linda doing the music. It was such a fantastic pre-show. It was my favorite one
