I'm back home from Sunny Florida! On my way back to the airport, my aunt and uncle were blaring the new Beatles radio channel, of course! I bring this up here, because two songs were played that made my aunt go...Paul should play THIS! Can you guess what they were? "With a Little Luck" & "My Brave Face" My response? Welcome to the club.

I'm in Perth, Australia and I'll be seeing/hearing Paul for the first time live in December I'm hoping Helter Skelter & I'm Down will be in the setlist. looks like he isn't playing those songs right now anything from Revolver & The White Album I'd love to hear live. I also love Early Days & Sing The Changes.
__________________________________________________ Good suggestions Big Bunny. Unfortunately, Paul at 75 can't sing Helter Skelter or I'm Down anymore. Maybe by the time you see him in December he might change the setlist to include a couple from Revolver. He does do Blackbird and Back in the USSR from the White album. I love Early Days and Sing the Changes. Hope for you he adds them for Australia. Another bonus is that you might get a song or two from a his new upcoming album that might be released this October.
if only he didn't take 24 years to come back to Australia, I would get to hear it live. Helter Skelter is one heavy mother, I love that song. how about Rocky Raccoon? love that one too
He's never sang "Rocky Raccoon" live, but we've certainly had some unusual additions from that category in the past few years. I think "Rocky Raccoon" has just as good a chance as "Temporary Secretary" did two years ago...heck, I think it has just as good a chance as "Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite!" did nearly FIVE years ago and that became a staple!
the bit in bold. why?

To my knowledge it hasn't been addressed, but I certainly don't know everything! With hundreds of songs to choose from, surely many will always get left behind...I need to remind myself of that more often!

____________________________________________________ Heard a live version of Rocky Raccoon ironically at a Tampa music venue for Paul's 75th birthday party. The lead singer for the band did a very good job on Rocky but it might not be as easy for Paul to do it as one might think. Paul would have to do a lot of it solo (without the Band's help) so it could be a challenge. But I go back to the perfect song for him to do right now....When I'm 64. Everybody in the audience knows all the lyrics to "64". Paul sings the first line and the crowd just takes over. Just like on "Love Me Do". As I said, it would really help save his voice over the length of this tour and the crowd would just "eat it up". Did I mention that "64" is the new universal "Boomer birthday song". When anyone turns 64 it is the song that gets sung. Yet, he never has sung it! I'm just baffled why someone close to him wouldn't be suggesting it. And it smacks right into the Sgt. Pepper rerelease. He does songs like Temporary Secretary or I Wanna Be Your Man while "64" is just staring him in the face. I was also at Abbey Road on the River (huge Beatles concert in Louisville Ky) and every time a band did "64" the crowd totally joined in. I love the man but his recent setlist decisions (last 3-4 years) just leaves me scratching my head.

I welcome any of Paul's songs from Pepper. I'm just bummed to hear that he's dropped Helter Skelter & I'm Down because of his voice if only he'd toured 10 years ago and I would hear them live. the main thing is I'm going to see him on the 2nd December and he has a month off before that, here's hoping it does his voice good with a bit of a rest

____________________________________ Big Bunny, the timing of your show might be very good relative to Paul's voice. As you say, it should be well rested. Also, you will probably get at least a couple of brand new songs since his new album will probably hit in October. Would love to visit your country some day. Have you been to the US or Canada.

Just got back from the Duluth show, and i've stayed away from this site since the beginning of the tour so I wouldn't know the setlist. I was hoping for, but not expecting a few changes. The only song I haven't seen in the 18 time prior that I've seen Paul was I Wanna Be Your Man. All that's fine. I'm not really expecting major changes at this point, and I still have 2 more shows to go on this leg of the tour. My biggest problem is that they are selling a $60 Flowers in the Dirt shirt and Paul himself said that they would be adding some FITD songs, but nothing. It really grinds my gears that they are selling that shirt, but nothing in the show reflects it. Anyway, it's still great and I can't wait for shows 20 and 21 in 2 weeks.

Hi B J Conlee, no, I've never been outside of Australia. I have an illness that makes it difficult for me to travel I'll keep an eye out for the new album

Friend of mine surprised me with freebies in a suite last night. Having read reviews on here I would like to report that it seems Sir Paul has read your criticisms about Maybe I'm Amazed and trust me, last night he said IN YOUR FACE. Going again tonight. Will see if there is any chance he can do it 2 nights in a row. I hadn't seen him since 2005 so I heard plenty of songs for the 1st time live last night. Can't believe how much I enjoyed a Hard Days Night and Love Me Do. Birthday was KICK ASS!!! Was underwhelmed by my most anticipated, 1985. The production of Live and Let Die never gets old. Last night was with the wife. Tonight 8 of us on the lawn. 6 first-timers tonight including the youngest of my 4 daughters at age 15. Rain, rain stay away!!!

Listened to a recording of last night, and while maybe not as embarrassing as the average post-2012 rendition of the song, this song is way beyond his current vocal capabilities, no matter how hard they're pushing up the 3-piece harmonies in the mix to camouflage the 4 minute battle of strain this song unfortunately is these days .
-
Maybe I'm Amazed was not the only song that suffered on back to back nights. But night 2 was still great!!!

it's a great song but I'm hoping Paul will play something like Sing The Changes instead, it's really uplifting.

One of songs from Paul's upcoming studio album is supposedly called "Brazil". He will be touring the country in October, so I hope that's when he will do that song live for the first time.

Hey, let the folks in NYC have it too!
-
Prediction: as a gift to the Australian fans for being patient - he will debut a song or two from his upcoming album. Thus making the debut of an album that will probably have a first quarter release in 2018.
-
I sure hope so!

While a Paul McCartney concert is always special no matter what, I'm a little annoyed that his setlist is barely different from when I saw him last year at MetLife Stadium. I'm seeing him again at Madison Square Garden this weekend and I was hoping he would have changed things up by now. Comparing the MetLife show and the Newark show, the only differences is that he's dropped "Fool on the Hill" and "Here There and Everywhere" in favor of "I Wanna Be Your Man" and "Sgt. Pepper (Reprise)", neither of which really excites me. It's odd that he isn't doing any Flowers In the Dirt songs to promote his latest reissue. "My Brave Face" would be a welcome addition to the set. It also would have made sense to add some other Sgt. Pepper songs with the box set out. I don't think he's played "Getting Better" or "She's Leaving Home" in a long time. He's still doing three songs from New when that album is nearly four years old. And while I don't dislike "FourFiveSeconds" as much as some fans do, it's just awkward to see Paul singing a song that was arranged for Rihanna. Like I said, any Paul McCartney concert is a special event but his catalog is huge. There's no need to be playing the same songs. I mean I get keeping the likes of "Let It Be", "Hey Jude", "Yesterday", "Live and Let Die", "Band on the Run", and the Abbey Road medley but other than those, he shouldn't be so hesitant to change it up, especially when he's doing songs that aren't even that popular like "Temporary Secretary" or "Letting Go" which are great to hear for the serious fan but shouldn't be mainstays.

You guys don't get it... I'm totally guessing here, of course, but I've always thought/heard that, Maybe I'm Amazed is sung by Paul...for Linda. If you think of it like that...then doesn't that make perfect sense? I know I'm just a sentimental romantic, but every time I hear him sing Maybe I'm Amazed...I get a little misty thinking that he's still singing about his love for Linda. It's just a guess on my part...but if you can think of someone he really loved and the mother of his children, then...IN YOUR FACE makes sense too. We should all be as lucky, to have a romance like theirs... Maybe there's another reason, I have no way of knowing...I for one, am always happy to hear it ð??¶â¤ï¸ð??¶ a GREAT Love song...maybe a Silly Love Song too
