Sorry, OH Darling........did I mention how long it took me do my avator??? And I'm supposed to be good at this stuff! JayJay, Liverpool it is! I've been wanting to go there for years and turned down a chance to go earlier this year. (I had spent too much time & money on Back in the US shows!) I'll start saving my pennies as soon as I get back from vacation. We will go to Liverpool!!!!!
-
I want Brian's bass guitar that he played on tour! beautiful Guild!! And he played it oh so well!!
-
By the way, if any of you are in the L.A. area, I'm going to be out there in about a week on vacation/business. Would like a chance to get the "inside scoop" on places to go & things to do from a "local." If you can help me out, let me know. Thanks!
-
Hey, don't forget me for the next trip to Liverpool!! I can be ready to go within a matter of minutes!! In fact, I wish I was there or in LA right now!! lol Dreamseer, have you ever been to LA? There is so much to do and see there. There are all types of music, art and history wherever you go. Don't forget about shopping....how about some great flea markets or the funky shops on Melrose? Buy yourself a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!!?? Hey, maybe you'll run into Brian, Abe or Rusty?? D D D D

OH! Darling:
Who can help this old lady cut and paste text into the grey boxes like you all have done? What's the secret?
I had that problem too... go into your profile, and click 'yes' on the option that says BBCode On. That should do it!

Nope! What else am I doing wrong?

OH Darling, I vote we ALL go to Liverpool next time. I don't know about being ready in a matter of minutes, but it wouldn't take me long. No, this will be my first trip to the west coast. Since it's business as well as vacation, a lot of my time will be taken up. And I've read a lot of the travel guides and have a fairly good idea of what we'll be doing during our spare time. Of course, wherever there is surf, sand, & sun, you can always find me with a smile on my face. I'm not big on shopping, but I love the museums & art galleries. We want to check out some of the hiking trails too. If you have any other suggestions, send them on. I'm always open for new ideas!

It should do that when you're quoting someone like this... that was what worked for me. I just noticed an option to 'Disable BBCode in this post' underneath the box where you're posting. Is that checked? If so, try unchecking it. Otherwise, I'm not sure, but you could ask Sarah.

JayJay, look...it worked! I was forgeting to use the "quote" keys!!! ops: Thanks for your help!!! Dreamseer, in LA, I would definitely make time to go to the Getty Museum. It sits up on a hill north of town and the views from the museum are fantastic. You'll need a few hours and plan to go on a clear day. The museum has a unique design so that you can go outside from every level. Also, the beaches have a different flavor all their own. From the funky Venice beach all the way up to Malibu, each is worth a visit. When are you going? Don't forget to watch out for our buddy, Brian!
-
OH Darling, the Getty is definitely in my plans. I expect to spend a lot of time on Venice beach. That's probably the place I'll like the best. Kinda wacky, like me. Actually, we figure LaBrea Tarpits to be one of our first stops. Weird, huh? And, don't worry.........my eyes will always be peeled for one of our guys. In a city of how many??? million people, they should be easy to spot, don't you think? Yeah, right........in my dreams. Of course, they don't call me "Dreamseer" for nothing!
-
Sorry, OH Darling.......I forgot. I'm going the latter part of next week. I'll be there 11 days.

I'm not sure I like this new board...all of you have been posting and I haven't been notified of new posts to the thread! What an old picture of Brian! Wow, I was (dare I say it) 4 when this picture was taken! You know, I've lived in the LA area (Orange County, near Disneyland) all my life, and I've never been to the Getty! Dreamseer, don't go swimming in the Santa Monica or Venice beaches - I've heard that they're *really* polluted (it was on the news). On Sunday mornings, you can listen to Breakfast with the Beatles, from 8 am to 1 pm on 97.1 FM (KLSX). It's hosted by Chris Carter - yes, the Chris Carter that's in the Back in the US DVD! Are you planning to come down my way and go to Disneyland/California Adventure? Oh, make sure you drive by the Henson studios, just south of Sunset & La Brea...that's where Paul recorded Driving Rain. Oh, and if you're brave, you can go to Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles, which is...oh wait you're from the South, so it probably won't be anything new to you. Hmm...I'm sure there's more to do, likes stars' homes and the walk of fame and stuff like that. You might enjoy taking the LA subway. It's new and pretty and clean. Oh, as for art galleries, there's also LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) and MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) and somewhere there's a Museum of Neon Art (MONA, apparently). Oh yeah and you can go to the Capitol Records building at Hollywood and Vine...Paramount Pictures on Melrose where Paul's PETA gala was in 1999, the House of Blues on Sunset Strip where Paul had his Run Devil Run listening party (and I was there!)...etc etc and so forth. Sorry, that's probably too much information.

Yeah, that's the picture...if it really was taken 19 years ago, I would have been 4.
