Tattoo signatures - yay or nay?
-
She obviously has a better PR firm than the rest of us. wink
-
Just heard from Marta and she's waiting to be approved to post (she got "signed" by Paul on Saturday night). She's concerned that people are thinking that the person getting all the PR is her but looks like it might be the person from Sunday night. She asked if I'd come on and clarify till she can do it herself. Very nice lady.
-
Yeah...Marta is a different girl, for sure. (hey, there are lots of us these days). Rose Anne is getting all the press. I'm friends with her on FB. Lovely lady as well - we're not unhappy. Just discussing the coverage.
-
Even if she was the person getting the coverage, good for her. While Dara and Audrey deserve some more coverage, any Paul fan who can enjoy the thrill of meeting him a bit longer than usual should enjoy it.

I'll toss my 2 cents in for what it's worth...I see no problem with somebody getting signed to be tattooed instead of getting an album signed. It's the same difference. I've been wanting to do that for about 6 years now and I'm hoping someday soon it will be my turn. I'm not gonna lie, I did have a slight meltdown when the girl was pulled onstage last night for an autograph, I wanted it to be me. lol But honestly, I don't necessarily want to be autographed on stage in front of everybody, I'd be more than happy for it to happen on a one on one basis. I just want it to happen for me, not for anybody else. )

Yeah, everyone I've told is like..what does that mean? Do you mean the actual pi symbol?

It's much better to get one that isn't immediately recognizable, I think. I've had plenty of people comment on the "cool guitar" tattoo I have. So far - out of all the comments I've gotten on it since I had it done...2 people knew what it was. **DISCLAIMER: This is NOT counting any of the people that have commented on it at McCartney concerts. B/c...that's a given. I just mean people in my everyday life.

and P.S. I have Strawberry Fields Forever on my foot (it's an actual strawberry, with "Fields Forever" written underneath). A girl i used to work with asked me once, "Oh, is 'Fields' your maiden name or something?". Umm.....what? really?

A girl i used to work with asked me once, "Oh, is 'Fields' your maiden name or something?". Umm.....what? really? lol LOL I have the same kinda problem...I have the Wings symbol on my foot and very few people know what that means...they always go "Is that a butterfly? A Wonder Woman symbol?" And I'm like its Wings...as in Paul McCartney and Wings? And they go....Oh! It's cute! lol The joke is, it does look similar to Wonder woman and my last name is actually Wondra so it would work if you weren't aware of the large Beatles tattoo on my back or my obsession...but in that case, you wouldn't know my last name was Wondra because you wouldn't know me at all!! wink
-
Lmao--first, that pimp avatar needs to be Paul's next concert t-shirt. Second, I love the tattoo stories, and third, I almost bought a Wonder Woman button in a music store because, when I looked quickly, I thought it was a Wings button. oops
-
I have tattoos of both the Wings logo and The Beatles logo. Also the logo from the Driving Rain tour. Good thing I didn't decide to continue doing each tour logo or my entire body would be covered. Just missing Paul's autograph.

Furlow47:
Kind of a generalization to say young AND blonde.. My thinking is: Perhaps Paul is calling younger people on stage because he likes feeling that he's still relevant - even with those who weren't around to witness Beatlemania. Maybe in a way he expects those who've been lucky enough to witness his entire career in real time to be his fans, but it's something special to see those who were born in the 80s, 90s, etc. admire him so much. Just a thought. Off my soapbox now.
then he'd call up a few young blokes too since I bet he'd love to feel relevant with the next generation of musicians coming up. let's face it, ladies. Men like young women. It's one of the problems with the world. Oh, and don't think I'm jealous. I'm happy for you getting your tattoo and meeting Paul. Someone held up a sign asking him to sign their ass for a tattoo and he blantanly said no. I thought it was a guy but others have said they thought it was a girl.
