Tattoo signatures - yay or nay?
-
well, the way he told them in charlotte seemed utterly spontaneous and unrehearsed, maybe he COULD be an actor (laughs)--what's the big deal? would you want to be up on stage before a massive audience of gazillions and suddenly draw a blank as to what to say? no? i didn't think so : paul's in the position to be in that exalted situation many times over, and he doesn't want to either

I miss the way he pronounces "massage". God, I love the British accent... lol
-
>>>Count me as another one who hopes this hasn't become part of the show. Everyone in the audience doesn't even have a fair chance as you need to be on the floor, near the front to have this happen to you. It's made reading the signs that are shown on the big screen less fun, too. More about I want a tattoo than the clever signs that used to be on the screen. If there is a DVD of this tour and the tattoos are in the main part of the concert, I won't be buying it. I get tired of Paul's stories, too. I can recite them word for word. I just hope he gives this a big time rest.<<< When you are so subtle like this, it's hard to tell which side you're on. So, you're pro-tattoo? wink wink lol

Same here. I gave the The Space Within Us away because it was so far from being a concert DVD that it was unwatchable. Couldn't even get through it once. Will need to read reviews first to see if I the tattoos are in the extras or not.

I find this puzzling. Would a 1 - 2 minute on-stage signing really take so much away from you enjoying a nearly 3 hour concert DVD that you wouldn't buy it?? Can't you just fast forward? Doesn't matter I guess - To each his own. Just seems like such a negative/downer attitude to a Paul concert (which is quite a deliriously happy experience). Ah well. If he comes out with a tour DVD - and it highlights tattoo signings, I'll buy your copy.

Doesn't bother me in the least. Gives the band a breather and thrills a fan. I'll still buy the DVD. Now can we talk about when Paul will play Chicago? Am I the person who begged for Venus Mars/Rock Show, as an opening song, not going to hear it....LIVE???.

I have absolutely no problem with the signing, whatsoever. If I could get Paul to sign my arm or back, I'd definitely get it tattooed and I'm a male... I was actually interested during the portion of the show where the "Flaming Pie Girl" was signed. Of course I was a little jealous that it wasn't me, but I was definitely happy that another fan was given that experience.

That video is really awesome! =D My girlfriend was actually upset when they started booing you... We're from Ohio and she doesn't understand the sports rivlary, I guess. Extremely happy for you to be on stage with Paul! Congrats, once again!

If they put 10-12 signings in there all in one place, that was more than 1-2 minutes. I have enough fine quality bootlegs from this tour, which are often better than the official ones. I'll pass.

I'm sure I speak for all of us tattooed girls when I say I'd LOVE a bit in the DVD extras about the fans who got to meet Paul. Not just those of us who got tattooed, but people who went up on stage for hugs or to dance, sing, etc. I think it'd be a great show of how much Paul loves his fans! I know I'm just a little biased here ) But still!

I'm beginning to get concerned about your love and use of emoticons. Just saying.

I can't stop puzzling at the idea of passing on an official DVD because you might see Paul interacting with fans by signing them. Oh well, to each his own (tattoo). Anyway, I'll be happy to get another live DVD, especially with this setlist. If Ihappen to appear in the extras, sigh, I'll make the sacrifice. For Paul, of course.

and I'm still wanting LIVERPOOL 2003 RELEASED on dvd~ it tops alot of gigs in recent years!~

I'm starting to feel like this thread has become the people with Paul tattoos v. umm...people who don't like Paul signing people? It's like the Jets and the Sharks in West Side Story. I call the Jets for the tattooed! "When you're a Jet you're a Jet all the way...Jet! With the wind in your hair of a thousand places..." And now we dance and snap our fingers. lol

It would be fine by me if the tattoos are in the extras. How will you feel if only one of you should make any DVD that might come from this tour? Which one should it be? I'd include Audrey and put her in it because she is the original.

Honestly? I'd feel fine. If it were my experience - it'd be the highlight of the DVD for me. If it were someone else's experience? It'd be an awesome part of an otherwise amazing concert DVD. No biggie. Really - I don't think any of us tattoo girls are feeling hate for each other. But - the Nashville concert should totally be the one that gets a DVD b/c it was AMAZING (my experience not included). The best Paul show I've seen.
