Paul McCartney 2013 Rumours

Here's hoping Paul finally makes it out to Hawaii! A quick stop here before or after the rumored Outside Lands or an Australian tour would be nice.
That would be cool! He should do a show at the football stadium there!

Time4Fun is the same promoter that hired Paul for 2 shows here in 2010, they should known what they're doing, they're no newbies.
Maybe they lost money on those shows in 2010, or Paul was asking for a higher guarantee this time around than they could commit to give him, who knows. Shows fall through for all kinds of reasons.
Yes, the people in Horsens can verify that.

Basically they're complaining that all the info that has been leaked by politicians who wanted to draw attention to themselves has caused trouble during negotiations. Nothing has been confirmed by Paul's team, and he wants to perform in places he's never been to, so the cities in which he has performed are out of question.

A source affirmed that today was scheduled to happen a press conference regarding the concert in Fortaleza, but it was delayed and there's no news about a new date for this press conference.

I have just listened to a radio broadcast with the confirmation of three concerts in Brazil. Once they are officially announced on Paul's website, I will change the title of this thread from "RUMOUR" to "CONFIRMED".
The mods will merge them with this thread until the shows are confirmed. That's the protocol for this forum.
I understand. I just thought it would be fitting that a Brazilian should start those three threads. Hopefully when those concerts are officially announced I'll be allowed to create them again, as a courtesy?

So the wait is over it did seem to drag on a bit didnt it

Just a thought...with Paul confirmed to play the festival in Tennesee mid-June, and Poland already cofirmed for June 22...I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of dates are announced for the U.S. prior to Bonnaroo.

Bonnaroo sounds more like a stand-alone date to me. And if there are any more dates prior to Bonaroo, I think they will be billed as "On The Run". Considering, Warsaw is being advertised as the kick-off for this tour. This gives me serious doubts about South American dates in May...especially with all the hooplah over the announcement. The last rumor I heard (and doubted mind you), was that he would do Europe over the summer (including Warsaw) and US in the fall (including New York)...time will tell! My biggest hope, is that there is a new album BEFORE the US dates so we are practically guarenteed new songs and, that both of these happen before 2013 is over.

I agree with pretty much everything you said here.

More Rumors swirling Paul to play Outside Lands in Aug San Fransico

Seems kind of odd to bring all his equipment to the States for just one show.

That sounds logical. Didn't someone say he was locked into a three-festival deal with the promoters of Bonaroo or something? I was thinking one each month. and DrivinFan, it really isn't all that much of his own equipment....is it? It's the festivals stage etc. Paul & company just need their gear etc.

I love the awkward translations that Google offers. Behold! "Despite rumors that began to emerge in networks social on Tuesday, the show Paul McCartney in Mineirão remains confirmed. Sources Enjoy said on Wednesday that the presentation of Beatle will actually happen on May 3 in the state capital, as reported previously. LEARN MORE ... Price's show Paul McCartney in BH has not been defined Secopa announces that Paul McCartney will sing in Mineirão on May 3 Group 'Paul Uai Come Talk' celebrates success in mobilizing to bring Paul McCartney Show Paul McCartney in BH is confirmed for May According to the source, the release price and date of sale of tickets is only depending on the finalization of a lifting capacity of the stadium, to be completed later on Wednesday. The ticket information should be released shortly. A confirmation awaited concert of Paul McCartney in Belo Horizonte happened on March 6, when James Lacerda, Special Secretary of State for the World Cup, broke the news at his Twitter. Shortly thereafter, the Mines Arena, responsible for administering the Mineirão confirmed that the date of May 3 was reserved for the show, further reinforcing the assertion Lacerda. Rumors that the show could not happen in Belo Horizonte began to emerge after the negotiations of two concerts in Argentina were closed without agreement. Another factor that caused some suspicion for fans is the delay in disclosing sales and ticket prices, since the date of the presentation is relatively close."
