I don't think they can get away with this "we're going to places we've never been to before" thing if this tour is going to be primarily America again. It's not a world tour at all. It's led us to believe it will be different, but it seems like it won't be really. Maybe they should realise that they should stop chasing the dollar and start thinking "Hmm. Paul is loved all over the world. Paul is also 70. He's not got many years of touring left. Maybe we should share him out fairly to his fans so they can see him while they still can."
They are all full of #@^# aren't they?
I agree with you guys. But I wonder if he even knows about some of this. He probably just goes where they tell him they booked him.
Surely he can't be that detached or dense.
So do you really think that PAUL McCartney plays where he is told he is booked??? Rather than where he wants to play? Obviously I don't know the process how or where he plays but a Musician, on his on level, calls his own shots, and does what he wants. If not him than who?
Err, yep that's I suggested...

Thanks folks. It's lame. Not sure who to be pissed at. NM sure isn't a destination point. But still. I sure hope it wasn't about money. Like Horens.
Sorry about no Cruces show. Looks like NMSU might need a new booker, they also lost out on a Mumford & Sons show.

I'm hoping for something in the Midwest (usa) again.. I'm in Kansas City and we'd love to have him back!!

Why are there US dates in May, June and July? When he could spend a month doing the US and then spend some time in other countries. Yet again his touring plans have no logic or consideration for the fans across the globe. Doing 70% of the dates in North America is NOT a world tour. And if Paul is supposedly going to places of significance to him historically, then surely London and Liverpool would be done. The tour news that got us all excited has been deceiving and really disappointing. How about just tell us straight they care more about how much money they make instead of ruining our hopes. Or tell us straight where they intend on going to for the entire tour ... all the places.

Exactly. It's really silly of Paul if he's completely oblivious of this neglect. People can't assume Paul decides to go to particular places a lot just because he likes it... it's never that reason alone. Money plays a huge part in it. As I said, though, he needs to get over his own ego and start charging prices that people on low wages can afford. There's way over 700 million people in Europe alone and that's a big market. He'd also make money going to Australia and other areas who haven't seen him at all or for a long time. Either way, he's going to make money, so he might as well share himself around a bit more instead of just fly across the Atlantic and cash in on £2,000 front row tickets. 'Cos at the moment this seems like a US tour with a couple of dates outside of it, as opposed to the "world tour" they claim it is.

Okay, I'm really sorry he isn't coming to the UK. Yeah, it isn't a true world tour and they're blowing off a lot of people so far and it sucks. But...can we keep this thread clear to talk about rumours of shows that might actually be happening in the next few months? It's very hard to follow with so much back and forth, thanks.

I was just discussing about the abundance of US rumours, so it's sort of on topic.

What ought to also be on topic...why is he doing shows anywhere when a new studio album is in the works and hasn't been released. Why not finish up the work in there (i.e., the recording studio) before going out there? Otherwise, no matter where he plays, I can't see him making significant changes in the set list.

I've been out of town the past 2 days (at a Clapton concert.) Other than DC and Boston, can someone catch me up?
Austin is confirmed. Rumor about a Memphis show, supposed to be an announcement Monday.
Thanks. I heard some people talking last night about shows in Atlantic City and Hershey, PA and I wanted to see if there was any word of that on here.
WHAT?! No way can I see Paul playing in Hershey...he's done the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City before...I'd go if he does it again!
IF the rumor I heard was correct, I would guess a show or two at the stadium in the amusement park. Other than Disney Channel stars and the Dave Matthews Band, they occasionally get some big names like Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, and The Rolling Stones. AC's Boardwalk Hall (where I saw the Who there in February) is a great venue to see a show at but promoters and the city are in talks to hold more events at Bader Field. Either could be a possibility, but I highly doubt either are true.
It would have to be two if not three...that stadium is on the smaller side. Last time I was at Hershey Park, Kenny G was playing in the stadium.
Holding my breath for Atlantic City! If I could pull off DC, NYC, and AC...it would be a new record for me!
Hershey is itty-bitty compared to the others! My daughter went there a couple times for marching band competitions. I was up in the stands and could see her clearly on the field. I don't see him playing an amusement park arena. I'd be very surprised. Plus, it would basically be free for anyone hanging out in the parking lot after the park itself closed.
I am highly skeptical of both dates but this is just something I heard (and I give your daughter props for being in marching band. I'm in marching band myself. What'd she play?)
She played baritone sax - she's a tiny thing, about 5'4", and 100 pounds soaking wet. And she carried that instrument around like it was nothing. It was practically bigger than she was!

All Quebec medias announce that Paul will be back on Les Plaines d'Abraham in Quebec City on July 23!! Even the mayor has confirmed... I hope it is true!!
-
Crossing my fingers for you guys!! Everyone deserves a little Paul!
-
'Unofficially confirmed by FedEx Forum fb site. Official announcement on Monday! Fletch is doing a happy dance! Welcome back to the birthplace or Rock and Roll Sir Paul!!

Was thinking exactly the same, put them all together not a bit here and there! feel really sorry for Denmark and Australia, unless something is going on behind the scenes that we don't know about
