can we get a recap of the 2013 rumors? 1. A new album which may or may-not feature other artists such as Dave Grohl 2. A corresponding tour 3. A soundtrack for a new videogame by bungie, probably instrumental What am I forgetting?

News report published earlier today, which includes a video: http://diariodonordeste.globo.com/noticia.asp?codigo=347221&modulo=970 In an interview last friday night, the governor of the Brazilian state of CearĂ¡ (the capital city being Fortaleza) confirmed that his staff met with Paul's tour team to discuss a concert in January for the inauguration of the new stadium, but he was informed that Paul will be on holiday during that month. So apparently there will be no concerts in January anywhere.

Don't be sad. There will probably be more concerts after he's back from his holidays!

I'm feeling springtime...like around May 2013...not sure where.

When I played Johnny Cash's last couple of albums ( American III & American IV) for my grandfather, we could hear his age in his songs. But it doesn't diminish the quality of the music. In fact, it made it even better. My Grandad wouldn't have it though. He said he sounds completely different from his glory days, he said he it wasn't there. I did my best to defend Mr. Cash. Because if you've listened to them you know that they are great albums. The way I described his change in vocals is the same description we could use on possibly Paul's next album. I said that in those songs his voice had a "Patina". Which is a term used to describe aged wood or metals. It seemed to fit. Because like the wood, with age, it does appear different, but it is also more beautiful. If Paul keeps this concept in mind, I believe his next album could be another masterpiece.

Spring and summer sound very possible indeed, as he usually does not perform in january/february.

This might sound like complete madness, but I think we're going to see a hurricane of activity from Paul next year... I'm guessing he will: -release two, yes TWO, new studio albums (one towards the beginning, another towards the end) -some live dates (possibly a new tour altogether?) and television appearances to back them up -one major reissue (i.e. WOA) or two (i.e. V&M/WATSOS) While this year has been big on high-profile events for Paul, I think the next will see more activity from him in the form of releases. We'll see...

From your lips to Paul's ears. He needs to return to what he's amazing at: studio albums. I think we'll be getting an incredible album early next year. Two would be more than ample apology for taking so long between rock albums.

One can only hope but my sights aren't set quite so high.

Actually, it sounds like a likely speculation to me. I'm looking forward to 2013.

How about a double album? Paul has actually never done a solo studio double album...it would be interesting, for sure!

He almost did it with Red Rose Speedway and Macca II. Thankfully he didn't. One was more than enough in both cases.

Red Rose Speedway could've benefited with more material. Not my favorite album, but a couple of all-time faves are on that album.
