Fans are working hard to bring Paul back to Brazil. Some of them took a flag with such a request to a stadium and showed it during a soccer game:

And he usually does a good job of balancing all of that out, doesn't he? Here I get tired after 10 hours of work.

Just saw this news report: another campaign is going on to bring Paul to Brazil. Now it's to a city called Fortaleza, in the state of Ceará. The occasion would be the inauguration of another stadium for the Soccer World Cup, which is 83% ready and should be 100% ready by December:
The Cup Secretary has stated that he would like to bring a major international star to perform at the inauguration of the stadium, and apparently Paul's name has been mentioned behind closed doors, as well as Madonna's: http://www.fm93.com.br/2012/08/21/fas-querem-paul-na-reinauguracao-do-castelao/ Fans are putting pressure on the governor using twitter and facebook, and bringing big signs with messages to be seen by the general population during concerts by Beatles cover bands. I was really excited when they announced a new Ramshead venue (they pretty much run the live music roost in MD), especially in a new casino, since a lot of acts I like go to those AND I'm allowed in! But so far, the only acts I'm remotely interested in are Chuck Negron (of Three Dog Night) and Foghat...but they are both on week nights, so I'm thinking...no. -
