Paul McCartney 2013 Rumours

blue jay hey:
its like are just adding as they go along?? so controversal
No--the dates are already booked and set--but they just like to *announce* them one at a time--drip--drip--drip.

Why can't he just do it all at once? I cannot stand this. I don't mind if others know...whatever, people hear things- that's life. But I do not know of any other artist that doesn't just spit their whole tour out at once...instead, he dribbles date after date...ugh. :
Elton John has also done this since maybe 2006, though unlike Paul, he is always on tour. In 2007 he announced only one show, Kansas City. So we all got tickets and plane tickets. Then he announces 3 shows for one weekend, we got ticket. Next weekend another Fri, Sat, Sun, we all got tickets. Then he added Moline, IL the night before Kansas City at the last minute. I was living in Chicago at the time and Moline is only a couple hours away by car, so we got tickets (front row). We ran out of the arena as soon as the show was over to beat the crowd because we had to drive back and then catch our 6am flight out of O'Haire to Kansas City. :

only problem is that there is almost a month between Bonnaroo and the next US show

For real? About how many U.S. shows are AFTER Bonnaroo? Is Seattle anywhere near the San Fran gig?
-
yes, dates are all already set...just a weird model they use in releasing the announcements of these dates...I don't think they realize the havoc that it inflicts on fans but it is what it is
-
looks like around 6

Is Indi after Bonnaroo?

So presumably Fenway kicks off the July leg.

Those are the days the stadium is available. It coincides with the All-Star break, however, and I don't know if that would have any impact since a lot of staff might be wishing to attend the All-Star festivities.
