the video is a must to view OBAMA FIRES A 'ROBIN HOOD' WARNING SHOT By CHARLES HURT Bureau Chief October 15, 2008 -- WASHINGTON - You won't find it in his campaign ads, but Barack Obama let slip his plans to become a modern-day Robin Hood in the White House, confiscating money from the rich to give to the poor. Conservatives yesterday ripped Obama after he was caught on video telling an Ohio plumber that he intends to take the profits of small-business owners and "spread the wealth around" to those with lesser incomes. The fracas over Obama's tax plan broke out Sunday outside Toledo when Joe Wurzelbacher approached the candidate. Wurzelbacher said he planned to become the owner of a small plumbing business that will take in more than the $250,000 amount at which Obama plans to begin raising tax rates. "Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?" the blue-collar worker asked. complete article & video: http://www.nypost.com/seven/10152008/news/politics/obama_fires_a_robin_hood_warning_shot_133685.htm

OMG! Plumbers are blue collar ya and cows fly.] I always said screw Harvard send your kid to pumbing school they make more. Plumbers try and get one on the phone and better yet you better have the good stuff for them to drink if you hire them or they bankrup you. Plumbers who make more than a plumber. Paul Mccartney maybe.

The link is bad, but it's no surprise when a liberal left wing rag endorses a liberal left winger.

A single person making $20k or $30k gets a $500 tax cut. That's wrong because $20k and $30k incomes pays no federal income tax. Obama should tell the truth that he's taking money from one person and giving it to another. The government will be cutting checks to people who don't pay taxes. $50 to $75k gets $500, while $75 to $100k gets $250. WOW, an extra 5 or 10 dollars in your weekly pay. $100 to $150k gets nothing. $150 to 200k gets $34. That's an extra 79 cents a week. $150 to 250k gets no tax cut. When Joe the plumber confronted him about paying higher taxes because he wants to buy the business where he works Obama assured him he's gonna cut capital gains taxes on small businesses. That's worth nothing to Joe unless he sells his business. Joe the plumber will make up what the government steals from him by cutting wages, laying off people, and/or raising prices. So when the government confiscates his money to give to people who pay no taxes there are several painless ways he can recoup his costs. And all of them will hurt customers and workers. When big companies face higher corporate taxes, we pay the second highest in the world, the make up the cost by laying off people and demand that fewer people do mo work. If he gets elected, and I think he will, he should try to become the best president in history. That's what I hope he does. He can go back on his tax cutting promises because the economy is getting worse and history has shown lowering tax rates increase tax revenue and creates jobs that grows the economy.

Hello M_M, With all due respect, your reputation of goating people into never-ending diatribes ad nauseum preceeds you as well as your tag team tactics. I will not be goated by you, nor do I have the time to play games. You know as well as I do that nothing I say will change your mind. You know my point of view and if you don't, read my replies to other members' non-provoking posts. We are all only accountable to ourselves.
Never ending diatribes? You mean... actually debating the issue and challenging your opinion? And "tag team antics?" That's pretty funny. It hasn't a damn thing to do with provoking. It's you having the gall to post all this information on a public thread and yet the moment your point of view and/or the content of this information is challenged, you want no part in actually defending what you're saying. Instead, you'll just "let it stand." Come on...

I will, however, try to inform the undecideds so that they can make an educated choice. You say this is "Convenient" for me. Actually, you have that bass ackwards, my friend. Now, let's move on. Take care.
Posting information without wanting to defend it or back it up isn't informing: it's indoctrinating. Let's get our terms straight. Cheerio!

Hello, M_M, With all due respect, obviously, the one thing you choose not to "get ...straight" is my suggestion to "Now, let's move on." Any further posts you direct to me will be answered with "Whatever. : " because I am taking the high road and am much more concerned about the undecided voter. Take care.

Joe the plumber, a non licensed plumber is getting recruited by McCain to campaign for him. Hey Sara be afraid be very afraid, McCain might just replace his VP with Joe the Plumber. He as qualified as Sara. Joe is most likely not licensed because of bonding insurances, which is driving the small guys out of business. The government makes it law to be bonded and insured so the insurances companies run amok and drive the prices out of reach for the little guys and so they have to go under the table to work. They can't get licensed without bonding insurances and it can cost a 1/3 of what they guys earn. Total criminal behavior what the insurance industry is up to. Guido. Again the unheard American and what's really going on in their lives. Why doesn't Joe talk about that instead of worrying about having to pay taxes if he makes 250 or more. He can afford it. He just add it to your bill.
-
I'll bet the media and its readers know more about "Joe the Plumber" than Barack Obama Just goes to show you what they can do if they put their minds to it -- and what they refuse to do if they put their minds to it ...

I am at least heartened to see Obama and McCain appearing to be working together to try and come up with solutions to the economic problems. Even with all the personal mud-slinging, I don't recall that happening before with two opposing Presidential candidates. It's more than you can say for Bush, who is after all still President, and seems to simply be hiding from the people. Instead of tidying up the White House for the next occupant, between the War and the economy, it's like he wants to leave a huge dump for his successor to clean up. So no matter who gets elected will at least have lots of options from both sides, none of them a perfect solution but a start toward getting out of this recession/depression/war mess. And nobody is yet facing the deficit that future generations will inherit. Maybe the nation should declare bankruptcy and push the "restart" button. It is the most interesting presidential race I have seen since 1968, which is probably the last time the country was so divided come to think of it. ..But I will just be glad when this election is over.

I'm all for corporations paying no income taxes so that it's employess can be given raises. They in turn will pay more taxes. And the cost of goods & services will drop - but the consumer spending will in turn rise. Along with the rise in spending includes a rise in sale tax. Everyone benefits with a smaller government, less taxes to be paid - more money available for individual & family needs.
