Yesterday was Somalia.... For all the people in the USA that don't understand why their country (not their people but their gov!) have such a bad image in the world. Imagine it was the oppossite. Imagine a military command of Somalia inside the US, and destroying some houses in some city because they suspects there are terrorists living there that could attack Somalia. That is how the world feels.

Yes, but only for the worst... the more I know about politician the less I like them... Spanish elections next Sunday could be depend on the weather, after the last TV debate. High participation, the left party wins. Low participation, the right party wins. So if it rains, there would be low participation and if it's sunny it will be high. I can see now politicians looking at the sky... BTW, what has happened in Russia? They say Putin still rules, but he's not president.

That's what we're preventing oliver...."a military command of terrorists inside the US destroying our cities." It happened once and won't happen again.

Putin is supposedly prime minister. The new president (Medevev) was hand picked by putin who couldn't run again because of term limits. Only time will tell if the new president is a mere puppet of Putin.

But preventing a thing, you're doing the same thing, can't you see? : Do you still wonder why most of the world hates the US?

Actually, no I don't

Lest anyone believes Obama is different, here is a quote from the Chicago Tribune: "I understand that President Musharraf has his own challenges," Obama said. "But let me make this clear. There are terrorists holed up in those mountains who murdered 3,000 Americans. They are plotting to strike again. ... If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf will not act, we will."

So let's get the troops out of Iraq as Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama both propose and let Sen. Obama invade Pakistan if he sees fit. : Let's withdraw troops from Iraq and proceed to start another conflict. : Another reason why I am for Sen. Clinton. She is the intelligent choice. What will Obama propose next? Smoke out every terrorist in every country of the world while we still can't find Osama Bin Laden, the guy who really attacked us on 9/11? :

There's no way Obama is going to attack muslims, it would be like him attacking his father.

Apparently this is where bin laden is/has been. It will also be interesting to see who now takes musharraf's place as his party lost the election....then again, maybe no one will

That's like killing people who can be murderers before the crime... and they are even out of your nation. It's as rude as terrorism itself. I know you now it and call it war on terrorism. For the people out of your country is just another form of terrorism too. The biggest one I know. But there's no use in discuss this... at least you will see how it's viewed outside your country.

Does anyone actually believe the NY Times rumor that John McCain cannot run for USA President :
My understanding is that he was born on an American military base in an American territory. Since he was born an American citizen on American soil and is well over age 35 he is elligible.

I'm not sure who because the post I read had errors:
When Kuwait was invaded by Iraq, did they call on Italy or France to help them? Of course not
Actually, yes.
-
jaipur:
Neither Japan, Germany or Kuwait have released the US from that requirement to date. For that matter, neither has the Iraqi government.
It's the United States that will not release Kuwait from that obligation.

Terrorists made it abundantly clear their aim is to destroy the US. They aren't innocent in that regard. The terrorist that was attacked in Somalia was one that attacked the USS Cole. Having lived abroad, I understand how it may be viewed. We can agree to disagree.

Ah, thank you for the insight. Do you know when did Kuwait request it and when did the US declined? just curious...
