DEUTSCHLAND!!!! Sehr gut, I'm glad they won. Argentina don't how to lose with dignity. Many of the Argentina players tried to attack Bierhoff, and Maxi Rodriguez attacked Bastian Scweinsteiger. :

What did Bierhoff and Schweinsteiger do to provoke the attack? You know, it could've been a case that the Germans don't know how to win with dignity. If you have any quotes from players, please provide them. I've been searching but haven't found any yet. Until then, I'm not labeling anybody as having no dignity.

I read about this, I didn't see it. But if Bierhoff provoked them I'll change my mind about losing with dignity. I read that the players went crazy and attacked the German players. I read that on a Norwegian site, I'll see if I can find some more about this.

I`ve seen it. I think it wasn`t all that wild; just understandable emotions from the argntinians after losing an important game!

Well did they attack the german players? I just saw how one of the portuguese players kicked the shirt of a swedish player after the game and I already thought that this was terrible But I'm a girl, I'm not fond of violence in any form!!! ops:

I ran back into the room when the announcers mentioned it. Can't tell who started what. BBC mearly says this: Ex-striker Oliver Bierhoff, now part of the German backroom team, appeared to be at the centre of the melee, incurring the wrath of the Argentines. Both sides will obviously blame the other. Likely is frustration by the Argentines. But I think it's unfair to say they don't have dignity. They went out vafter the first round in 2002 and I didn't see them react in this manner.

Me either. But we need film to see what led up to this. Unless you think he's doing that simply because Argentina lost. (highly unlikely)

CONGRATULATIONS GERMANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm wondering if because this is so serious in their country that they they felt like they lost honor or something????.....they shouldn't they had some doubts of getting to the finals and to get this far is very good. In any case it's no reason to attack...i have not seen the game so i can only go by what i'm reading.....but this seems to have been one of the more emotional (more than once) and physical (more than once) World Cups I remember.

Betty remember 78 and 86 when talkin about cheating. blame the manager for not having mesei on , the players for not reliseing one goal is never good enough, a couple of them started diving just before the germans scored when they had control of the game. did tevex have an accident

This in incredible.... We don't have to attack no one to recover our dignity. We play the whole match with dignity. I can't say the same fot Germany.... The players may react in that way maybe because they felt that "someone" stole them the match. And we NEVER had doubts of getting to the finals!

don't like that pic...stuck at work another 4 hours before i can see any of this on my tape if it worked this time. what a shame, i hope nothing happens like this at Eng. Por game the talk is extremely heated at a Euro football board i'm on.

I'm sorry superbet I didn't mean to offend you and I understand how upset you are...there's hardly a bigger let down. I apologize.

Most people are saying that "an Argentine substitute" kicked Mertesacker. That's the first incident you can see on the live transmission. I'm currently recording Italy-Ukraine so I'll try and have a look later.

like the russian ref in the Portugal and Holland game todays ref had a good game but with only one mistake today Ballack should have been booked and Figo should have been sent off. the responsbility for the players behaviour lies with one man the player himself whoever they are. the ref tomorrow is supposed to be in the top ten of the world not this year but in the last five, hopefully he will live up to it. but SHIT he's an Argentinian
