Manchester United 2 X 0 Portsmouth Ronado scored twice Really I think Pompey could be glad by that result, United pressured the entire game creating great chances, James played a very good mach... Could have been 4 or 5 for united...

PHEW! A very frustrating game played on a rain-soaked pitch was rescued when substitue Giovani did well to get in a low cross from the left for substitute Xavi to slam home from just inside the box in the 88th minute to claim all three vital points for Barcelona against Osasuna. Look out Madridistas. The Liga isn't yours just yet.

No, it's not ours at all. (Though I already celebrated it in advance in Las Ramblas in January as I did past year )

Six point lead for RM... 16 matches to play including a head on at the Bernabeu... And you're saying it's over? : Unless you meant to say the Copa del Rey is over for RM. Ruud and Casillas worry me more than Robinho. Thuram is out of contract but I'd like him to stay one more season. Sylvinho and Edmilson will be out of contract. Zambrotta is going to Milan. Deco will likely go. He should, anyway. Ronaldinho is staying. Summer buys? Lahm is a good possibility. Garay looks a great probability. Barca and Real will likely duel for Benzema. Would be nice if Diego can be pried from WBremen.

well the greatest signing in January has not been made by a city team but for a national team. It's Bojan Krkic for Spain. His parents are from Yugoslavia but he was born and has always lived in Spain, so he could play for both countries but finally is on a Spain list. He's kind of ill as Silva is... anyway and even if all the pro strikers in Spain are injured.... Raul is not gonna be on the team. Anyway Spain is not gonna win a thing. But well is the only sport remaining, World Champions in basketball, handball, indoor football, tennis Davis Cup, waterpolo, hockey, in motorcycles, in the Formula One, in the Tour de France, well someday the football team will be a team like the basketball is...

That's the spirit! : At least they'll be there, which is more than some other countries can say. Another fine performance against another credible opponent. Capdevila gives Spain a 1-0 victory over France! The only casualty was El Niño Torres pulling a hamstring and having to go off after 23 minutes. Love the new away kits. Probably the first time they've worn yellow. France looked nice as well with their new red shirts. I believe Spain plays Italy is their next amistoso.

I acctualy ment the league, I can't see Barcelona winning it, the team that was known for scoring many goals now only wins by 1X0 with free kick or penalty goals... Real Madrid is much more solid, I think barcelona should concentrate on Copa del Rey andon the champions league, to win a league you need a consistant team, Real Madrid has that, Barcelona does not... :

It's tough to be consistant when the injuries are consistant. Puyol was out the first month and is now out another month. Messi was out five weeks and missed the Madrid game. Eto'o was out the first three months, only returned in December and is now away at the ACN. I've listed some big names there, y'know. Six points out and they should give up on La Liga, huh?

Im not saying they have to give up, I'm just saying that I dont think the're gonna win, and I would focus on other competitions...

Yes, like England for one Good start under Capello though. I was impressed with Jenas and Joe Cole.

But by saying they should focus on the knockout competitions, you're implying that they should use La Liga to rest their key players to use for the CL and CdR. And by doing that, they're basically giving up on La Liga, fielding weakened teams.

Hey stranger! I wonder if Capello wishes England were playing in that Celtic tournament this summer.

I support Liverpool Football Club.......take pity on me......... WTF has gone wrong?.....and would Dubai Investment Capital (and all the human rights violations etc) be the answer to LFC's prayers?.....or are Hicks and Gillet gonna keep control and lead us down the weary and depressing path trodden by all Hicks sports teams.....Texas Rangers, Corinthians etc? Any words of comfort or even better inside information from the land of the free on the subject would be most appreciated, ta!

well if you see it that way, but I think they are already starting to do that

For Saturday's La Liga clash away to Sevilla: -- Eto'o is in Africa. -- Yaya Toure is in Africa. -- Puyol is still out injured for 3-4 more weeks. -- Zambrotta picked up a muscle injury against Portugal on Wednesday and is a major doubt. -- Deco apparently suffered an ankle injury in the same game. -- Bojan is suffering from gastroenteritis is will likely miss out. -- Ronaldinho trained with a lot of pain in his right eye (see photo) -- Marquez and Giovani played for Mexico early Thursday morning (Barcelona time) and will likely miss Friday morning's training session, the last before the team leaves for Andalucia. Rijkaard uses Friday's session to determine his starting XI. Don't know what more can be said, but people will believe what they want to regarding starting lineups. :
