"Guesses"? That's the easy way out, because once you discover you're wrong you can start "second guessing" yourself.
well you are a Barça fan...
Touché. Barca are five points behind and title chase is over. But because you're a United fan, you say nothing even though they, too, are five points behind in the race for the title (with fewer games to play).
well who is playing better, barcelona or manchester?
Arsenal or Real Madrid? After all, if they don't drop points, they can't be caught no matter how well Barcelona and Man Utd are playing.
Arsenal, but only a bit! And in this type of competition who plays bette wins, ALLWAYS... I'ts too many games for a surprize to happen...

Indeed, there are a lot of games in league play. Which is why your suggestion that Barcelona should take away their focus from La Liga when there was still 16 games to play and concentrate more on the CL and CdR is ridiculous.

Also, the best team does NOT ALWAYS win the league. Juventus winning Serie A in 2006, for example. And to suggest that Real Madrid were the better team last season is laughable. Messi (3 months) and Eto'o (5 months) were out injured simultaneously! Barca played 11 matches with neither available, drawing five and losing once. Yet they still managed to finish level on points. Which brings up the subject of how to seperate teams that are level on points. With Real Madrid and Barcelona finishing level on 76 points last season, who should have won the league? Real Madrid for their 5-3 aggregate result against Barcelona in league play, or Barcelona for their +40 goal differential compared to Real's +26 over 38 matches? Most leagues use goal differential. Only Spain uses matchup results. The best team DOES NOT always win the league. Not in Spain, anyway.

Sad to hear about the death of Haiti's Emmanuel Sanon. Died of pancreatic cancer, age 56. Sannon scored one of the sports most historic goals when his goal against Italy in the 1974 World Cup put an end to an amazing record set by Italy's legendary Dino Zoff who had not conceded a goal in 1,142 minutes spanning over two years in international play. Sanon also scored Haiti's only other goal in that tournament, against Argentina. R.I.P. "Manno" Sannon

Usually I would say Arsenal but not after today's result. I know that i have said this before, but why do Arsenal struggle against teams that are at the bottom of the table? Arsenal were doing ok until Birmingham equalised. But maybe the problem with Arsenal is that if they take the lead early on, they become too relaxed in thinking they have won the game .

To be fair, Clichy did get a piece of the ball, thus I don't think the penalty should've been given. I think that's what upset Gallas so much. Either that or the relaxed nature of Clichy in his own area. The injury suffered by Eduardo could have played on their minds as well. The UK tv feed didn't show any replays of the incident because of the horrific nature of the tackle and injury sustained, but photos have been floating around the internet showing just how sickening the injury is and many are suggesting that Eduardo's promising career may be over. Sad not only for Arsenal but for Croatia as well.

I really hope his career isn't over. Eduardo is a good player. The two goals were scored by Wallcott. Got a feeling he might be the next Henry for Arsenal. I'll take back what i said about Arsenal but i do feel frustrated with them sometimes. Heard that Manchester United won today - they seem to be on fire at the moment.

They usually are against Newcastle. Spurs and City are a different matter.

The Juventus case was different, It was not decided on the pitch, and Madrid deserved it, they were more regular

"More regular"? So you don't think goal difference should decide who wins the league if two teams are level on points? Because that's how Madrid won the league. If Eto'o or Messi weren't out for so long, Barca would've easily won the league. They also would've won in Japan.

well they really would have won the leage, but in japan, it was just one game, anything could have happened... Of course it would have been harder...

Well, at least your being honest now. I still can't believe Barcelona lost in Japan the way they dominated possession and attempts. Mind you, it didn't hurt as much as Steaua in 1986. So what's wrong with Colorado these days? Pato couldn't have been that important to the team that they don't qualify for the Libertadores. I don't even know how Brazilian clubs qualify for the Libertadores. :

Yeah Barcelona played better, just like Liverpool X São Paulo, Liverpool also dominated the game... Nothing is wrong, acctaly, our team right now is better then the team that went to Japan, thats why we won the Dubai Cup, against Stuttgart and Internatzionale... Pato played only a few games last year, he is very unconsistent... Brazilian clubs qualify for Libertadores exactly like european clubs qualify for the Champions Leage, the top 4 on the league go to libertadores..

Hey "best" is subjective, there's no way of knowing "who was the best" or "who played the best". It's sport, not art and there are some rules that decide a winner. Anyway for Real Madrid winning is not enough. And it's not everything. So Capello was out, as he was the last time he won Spanish League with Real Madrid, as other coaches have been fired in Real Madrid, after winning the League, The Champions League or being leaders in the league. Real Madrid differs from Barça that we don't see it all black or white (winners/losers). We can win and not being satisfied at all. When Barça wins all the players seem to be the best ever, and when they lose they don't deserve to play for people. It's not all about winning or losing, thought anyway Real Madrid has won more things than any other time, a beautiful paradox for me.

On Thursday I was discussing with one friend of mine in some bar, that Messi should dribble less and pass more. And the day after he has said the same to press. Very strange, but okey. A pass between three players is like dribbling three players, but yet a lot don't see it. Messi will be better.

"Best" may be subjective, but "lucky" isn't. And the manner in which Real won the league, with all those last minute goals and Braca giving up late goals to Betis and Espanyol, was definately luck. Real Madrid are trying hard - very hard - to emulate Cruyff's Dream Team of the early 90s. Very hard.

Spurs 2 Chelsea 1 Well done Spurs for beating Chelsea I wouldn't normally give praise to Spurs but i'm happy with that result
-
Barcelona 5 Levante 1 Real Madrid 0 Getafe 1 ... One of the most hilarious goals I've ever seen. I've never laughed so hard in my life. Barcelona now 2 points behind Real Madrid with 13 games to play. The Madridistas have lost 4 of their last 5 matches including Champions League. Like I said, only a fool would suggest that the league title has been decided with so many games to play.

That's fine. But you have been proven wrong. There was no need for Rijkaard to start focusing on the Champions League and Copa del Rey so soon.
