21st Century Paul:
But if both get mad... that's the only chance for Barça. But I don't think Liverpool, Manchester, Arsenal, Chelsea and Roma are all gonna get mad.
Getting mad? You mean as in going wild and playing crazy and making mistakes? As long as the final isn't between Chelsea and Liverpool I'll be happy. Europe has seen those two 'play' each other enough times already. :
When I say "get mad", I mean suddenly start to play not like they do now... a crisis in the team, as far as I know all of them are caused by "internal conflicts"... I mean fights between the different players. Lack of camaradery, you know. What happened to the Real Madrid of Zidane, Ronaldo, Beckham, Roberto Carlos, Raul, Guti, Casillas, Figo, Makelele, etc... and what's happening to the present Barça. Etoo has trained today all alone. I think that's Abidal who has said that everybody trains on his own really there. Well... here.

Bah. Eto'o worked out in Camp Nou because he wanted to run the stands to do leg work. He was accompanied by technical assistant Albert Roca. In addition to group sessions, players have individual needs to improve on, too. You're trying to make something out of nothing ever since Eto'o last February. If there were 'internal conflicts' the team would be lower than second place and not playing for three trophies. And while were on the subject of playing for three trophies...

we agree to disagree then.

I've just looked at next fixtures for Araenal in the Premiership. We have got some really difficult games as play = chelsea, followed by bolton, followed by liverpool and then manchester united! I don't like to predict anything but with the current injuries i bet that after the Man U game the Gunners will be in 4th position. Anyone willing to bet with me? I'm kinda of thinking of a pint of beer bet.

I don't think they'll be lower than second after those games. Still, at the start of the season many pundits predicted Spurs would take the fourth CL qualifying spot from Arsenal as it was believed that Wenger's Young Guns would need a couple of years to challenge for the title. That they're where they are this late in the season is a great credit to the Frenchman.

Some said Lampard was over and he scored four goals yesterday. Anyway here are the quarterfinals of the European Cup (I can't call it Champions League, it's not a League and they're not champions ) First game April 1st and 2nd, second game April 8th and 9th. Barcelona FC-Schalke 04 AS Roma-Manchester Utd. Arsenal-Liverpool Fenerbahçe-Chelsea Semifinals will be... winner of the Barcelona FC-Schalke 04 vs winner of the AS Roma-Manchester Utd. And winner of the Arsenal-Liverpool vs Fenerbahçe-Chelsea. 22-23 April and 29-30 April. Final in Moscow May 21th.

Arsenal and Liverpool have each other three times because they have a Premier League game scheduled in between their two Champions League matches. United-Roma should see a lot of action on and off the pitch. Fenerbahce gave Sevilla all they could handle, so Chelsea better beware. And MARCA is again crying about Barcelona's "luck" in the draw. : Schalke are no pushover but I do understand that every team wanted to play them. I'll be watching them more closely in the Bundesliga in the next couple of weeks.

Speculation going on that the CL draw was fixed. This thread in the Liverpool Echo begins two hours before the draw was made... http://forums.liverpoolecho.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=33755&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 Interesting stuff.

Yeah i suppose you are right but it will be an interesting few weeks. Would be fantastic if Gunners were still top of the league at the end of the man u game!!! But that is wishful thinking. ........or maybe not

I know one thing.. If they are top of the league after the Man U game, they are going to be league champs

I played soccer yesterday, after many time. And I think I created a new dribble. You know, the roulette, linked to Zidane. Though Laudrup, Ronaldinho or others have done it... in case you don't know is this...
okey, the trick is that if you want to move to the right in a 90 degress angle, then you start the roulette with the right feet and then use the other. And if you want to go to the left in a 90 degree, use the left feet first. Ok. But what about a similar thing that makes you make a turn of 180 degrees. I did it without thinking but now I how it goes and I've never seen it in any game. You get over the ball with your best feet like in 90 degrees roulettes, but you stay at the top longer and push the ball just to your back and while you fall to the floor you make a 180 degree turn of your body in the air. Then you're alone with the ball in front of you and the defender on your back but looking in the oppossite direction of you, so you're totally alone. -

I reckon that Arsenal will be under a lot of pressure and chelsea will dominate the first half. At least Van Persie is back from injury for this game. Reckon that the score will be 2-1 to Chelsea....... I hope i'm wrong Whatecer happens, may the best team win I reckon that Man U will beat Liverpool 3 - 0. Hoipe so as i'm going out with an Everton fan and I wouldn't hear the end of it if Liverpool won!

If they're like the Beatles now is when they have to split out, you know. At least they got the Spanish League... They can't win big teams (Valencia, Atletico, Villarreal, Real Madrid...) but in the Spanish League there are no big matches for Barça except the one in Bernabeu. So if Real Madrid is weak there's a chance for Barça. No way in European Cup. Let's see if they FINALLY are brave enough to transfer Ronaldinho anywhere.

The question is, who would want him and can Barça sell him for a decent price? Rijkaard may need to go too. If he does I hope Mourinho can be brought in. Besides 'Mou' the only other coach that interests me for Barcelona is Valverde. Some rumors have Mourinho going to Real Madrid. Paul, given your statement that Real Madrid not only want to win but also to play beautiful football, how can it be justified that Mourinho should go to RM? Would you like to see him arrive? If not, what coach would you like (a realistic option, not someone like Wenger), or are you happy with Schuster?
