I've heard of scalpers in the US buying thousands of tickets before regular fans have a chance to do it. Is it that bad in the UK as well?
A few minutes after 10.00 am tomorrow go to ebay or gumtree and you will see a lot of tickets for outrageous prices. Only a few artists do something about it. Example: Yesterday i bought tickets for David Gilmour in the Royal Albert Hall. Each buyer has to present himself to pick up the tickets and entering the venue a ID photo document is asked. Much more difficult to scalpers.

Does anybody know whether there will be seats or just a big standing area in front of the stage?
It'll be seating. See here: http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/paul-mccartney-london-23-05-2015/event/35004E669A7812BE?artistid=735610&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=1 Pretty steep prices, but like everyone else I'll be vying for a decent ticket in a few hours time on the pre-sale. I just hope that this time I'll have a decent seat surrounded by cool fans, unlike last time in the gods sitting next to "fans" with their arms crossed, killing the atmosphere. Was still a good show, mind. Apart from that, excited! 2012 was much too once upon a long ago.........

I had the same problem and I have switched to the VIP - Hospitality tickets. It's hard to decide wihin seconds what to do and that has been the only way for me to get a ticket !
-
Got my ticket for A3, Seat 54 - hopefully it's good!
-
Got tickets but 140 quid each and block 141 was the best I was offered. Bittersweet but at least I am in.
-
£125 a ticket eh Paul? Unless you want to sit on the roof. I got into the page to buy tickets took one look at the prices and closed the page in disgust. Enjoy playing to the rich, Paul. Nice way to treat tour fans, Greedy old man.

How many seats is it possible to book ?

The price is high but the resellers will try to be even steeper. Block 141? I just looked at the seating chart and it goes from 101-112. I was offered 101 row U from pm.com presale, but I gave it up for 02 priority for another level 1 tier row in the middle that was closer to the beginning of the alphabet! I'm !"£!"£$%^&*()_+ happy like you wouldn't believe. No more nosebleed, obstructed view bologna for me!!!!!!!!! It's on like Donkey Kong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Got my tickets via O2 priority! On Block 107, happy happy! Tried through Paul Mccartney website pre-sale and no luck though, the website was just crashing!
-
Sorry meant 104.
-
Whoop! Got a nose bleed seat but don't care!
-
I got one - nosebleeds but it's certainly better than nothing! (At least I hope so...)
-
didn't go for VIP didn't even dare to look at price. most expensive tickets I've ever bought. figuring its been a few years since I saw him last at Earls Court so I don't mind too much. the only other artist i'd pay that sort of money for a ticket is David Bowie.

Now I have to agree with you. Section 104 tickets look like they should have been priced similarly to the 400's.
-
For some reason I couldnt get through via the PM site so went to o2 priority tickets and got block 403 row L, high up but not a major issue. Chose electronic ticket so will be able to print it straight off.

Yeah feel a bit of a miserable git complaining about getting tickets when everyone else is whooping and cheering but for the best part of 300 quid for 2 tickets, I was hoping for at least block A or B. Difficult to release tickets when they are offered to you as best available though.

I honestly thought that block A was no chance in hell(well I was right for both websites I used). Block B I would have never wanted. The good thing about 1 tier is that you do get an actual seat (the floor seat most will stand, so we should be able to see over them). No need to strain your neck up to see the stage either and security might actually get some people to sit the beep down if they try to push in front
